The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) held its highly anticipated football camp earlier this week on Tuesday. Despite the momentum, Mother Nature had other plans lightning in the area forced an early end to the day's activities. However, that didn't stop head coach Clint Killough and his staff from making the most of the week. Killough quickly pivoted, pushing for additional sessions on Thursday and Friday to ensure athletes had their shot to compete and get evaluated. Those extra days paid off, as several players made the most of the opportunity and turned heads with standout performances.    Davis showcased poise and accuracy throughout the UIW camp's quarterback drills. His footwork was sharp, allowing him to set up quickly and deliver throws with good velocity and touch.     Emmanuel may be one of the youngest at the UIW camp, but his talent already has coaches taking notice. With quick feet, natural burst, and excellent vision, he showed the ability to make defenders miss and pick his spots with precision. His fluidity through drills and strong carry in bag work highlighted his agility and balance. Emmanuel's blend of speed and skill promises to turn heads in the coming seasons as he continues to develop.     Bruno stood out at the UIW camp with his excellent body control and fluidity during bag drills and cone drills. He showed sharp footwork and quick change of direction, smoothly navigating through obstacles with precision. His ability to maintain balance while accelerating out of cuts and adjusting his body mid air made him a tough matchup in one on one situations.     Jace showed great explosiveness and reliable hands during the UIW camp. His route running was sharp, with quick cuts and excellent timing on his breaks. He demonstrated the ability to create separation caught the ball consistently in contested situations. Jace's speed and competitive nature made him one of the more dynamic receivers at the camp.     Rohan was one of the most physically impressive defensive ends on the field during the UIW camp. His quick first step off the edge consistently disrupted drills, and he showed a natural ability to bend and get low around the corner. Even in a camp setting, his motor and intensity stood out.     Derrick was a steady presence in the secondary during the UIW camp, showing off his ability to cover ground and match up with a variety of receivers. Whether it was in one on ones or team sessions, he played with great awareness and smooth hips in coverage. His footwork stood out, especially when mirroring routes, and he wasn't afraid to get physical at the line.     Xavier made the most of his reps during the running back drills at UIW, showing off his quick feet and sharp change of direction. He ran with purpose, displaying good pad level and burst through the cones. What stood out most was his ability to transition smoothly from footwork drills into live action reps, where he showed vision and patience.     Daniel showed out during the defensive line sessions at the UIW camp, making his presence felt with every rep. He displayed a quick first step and used his hands well to disengage from blockers. Whether it was in bag drills or one on one matchups, Daniel brought a physical edge and consistent effort.     Bo stood out in the trenches during the UIW camp, showing impressive technique and toughness in the offensive line group. He stayed patient in pass protection, using his hands well and keeping a strong base.     Ayden flew around during positional drills, showing sharp instincts and the ability to break on the ball quickly. In coverage reps, Ayden held his own in space and displayed solid footwork when matched up with running backs and tight ends. During one on one drills he showed patience when cover RBs, when going through drills he showed good hips and good ball skills.     Jai'Storm continues to build on his growing reputation, and his performance at the UIW camp added another strong showing to his résumé. The big offensive lineman showcased his power and balance during one-on-one reps, using his length to keep defenders at bay. He played with a calm, controlled demeanor, rarely getting out of position.     Brayon put together a sharp performance during linebacker drills at the UIW camp, standing out in both the bag work and ball and hip drills. He moved with fluidity, showing quick feet and solid change of direction skills. In the ball drills, Brayon displayed natural hands and a good feel for spacing, while the hip drills highlighted his ability to stay low and drive through contact.     He showed consistent hand placement and a strong punch during pass protection reps, keeping defenders off balance with his footwork and anchor. Aidan camp out with great balance level.     Tierce made his presence felt early in individual drills, showing off great hips and smooth transitions. His strength at the point of attack and willingness to compete every snap made him one of the more disruptive linemen on the field. One of the younger prospects at the UIW camp, Justin made the most of his opportunity and flashed a ton of upside. Despite being from the Class of 2028, he held his own against older competition with his smooth movement and natural athleticism. Whether it was in drills or competitive reps, Justin showed strong instincts, quick feet, and a hunger to learn. Azsir played with confidence and poise, rarely getting caught out of position and consistently challenging receivers at the point of attack.     Logan quietly put together a strong day in the secondary at the UIW camp. He showed smooth footwork and patience in coverage, rarely biting on fakes and staying disciplined in his technique. In one-on-one reps, Logan competed with confidence and wasn't afraid to get physical at the line.     Julius showed off his route-running and hands during the receiving drills at the UIW camp. He ran sharp, crisp routes with quick cuts and displayed reliable catching ability in traffic. His explosiveness off the line and ability to create separation stood out in one-on-one drills.     Drake capped off the UIW camp with an impressive showing that earned him an offer from the coaching staff. Throughout the camp, he demonstrated a powerful get-off, strong hands, and the ability to collapse the pocket consistently. His relentless motor and technique improvements were evident in every drill, and he proved to be a disruptive force against offensive linemen. Drake's work ethic and physical tools clearly paid off, making him one of the top defensive line prospects coming out of the camp. Brandon showcased his agility and vision throughout the running back drills at the UIW camp. He displayed a quick burst through the line, combined with sharp cuts and patience to find running lanes. During bag drills, Brandon moved with precision and demonstrated excellent footwork and balance.     Reid displayed a high motor and solid instincts throughout the linebacker drills at the UIW camp. He showed good lateral quickness and the ability to flow to the ball with authority. During coverage reps, Reid demonstrated awareness in space and the ability to keep up with running backs in check.     Byrd showcased quickness and agility during the cone drills at the UIW camp.
