SWMO Linebackers "You Should Know" in 2025.

The Southwest region of the "show me state" has really blossomed into a place that has created a buzz among finding quality high school football players. While fans love to watch offenses light up the scoreboard, in this article were going to focus on the defensive side of the ball.   These six highly talented linebackers have racked up some pretty impressive numbers last football season, and this upcoming 2025 season they look to elevate their fantastic play even more.      A Super impressive sophomore linebacker.   Bull is the young fella of this group of six linebackers. Only a sophomore for the upcoming 2025 football season, Bull plays like a player who is far more experienced. He is a true sideline-to-sideline type of player who would thrive as a weakside outside linebacker, so he can use his blinding speed.   Bull produced a great performance at the MSU prospect camp. During the 1-on-1 portion of camp, Bull really shined. He is extremely sticky in pass coverage and made life hard on these running backs running their routes out of the backfield.   I'm really impressed with how he performed this offseason with southwest7 and during these prospect camps. I have a feeling he's going to have a great high school football career.     Kye Adams is one of the most athletic backers in Missouri.   Adams put up some pretty gaudy numbers with 92 total tackles and 4 sacks in his junior season. He produced those numbers by being exceptionally good at play recognition. Adams is such an intelligent young football player; he uses his eyes and instincts so well, there are times he could have taken the handoff from the running back in the backfield.   Even when a blocker manages to get into position and gets their hands on Adams, he has great block-shedding abilities. His strength is second to none in Southwest Missouri, he is truly an impressive young athlete that's going to just keep getting better.      A physically imposing football player from Republic Missouri.   One of the most underrated players in the 2026 class is Kaleb Norman. Every college program needs a hard-nosed in the box type of linebacker that wants to set the tone early in a football game. Norman loves to play a physical, hit-you-in-the-mouth type of football game.   The tigers had a fantastic football season last year, coming just short of reaching the big dance. Norman was such an important part of that defense that aided them in such a deep playoff run. I fully expect the college offers to come rolling in for Norman very soon.        One of the most interesting studies of 2025.   Small school prospects sometimes hold a special place in my heart, in Missouri Class 1A players usually play both sides of the ball because of the low number of players on the football team. Kyler Reece plays both sides of the football for the Ash Grove Pirates because he is just that good of a player.   Reece not only plays quarterback and linebacker but also plays on every special team's unit. You have to admire a man who leaves it all out on the field for his football team.   On defense, Reece loves to impose his will on the ball carrier; he brings the boom every time I get the chance to see him play on Friday nights. Reece deserves to get some college looks regardless of the class he plays in.     It's hard not to notice Andrew Snider on film.   In Snider's junior season, he led the Eagles with 92 total tackles. It's hard to find a linebacker in high school who is a complete player. Look no further than Andrew Snider, he showed the ability to help his football team in every way possible on the defensive side of the football. If you want him to blitz, he can do it, drop back in coverage? Snider can do it, play in the tackle box? Snider is your man.   I'm very surprised that Snider is going into his senior season with a lack of college offers. If he builds on his junior season, that surely will change.      Dalton is a tackling machine for the Carthage Tigers.   Dalton is going into his junior season for the Tigers with high hopes of building on his superb sophomore year. Dalton was a revelation last year, stepping up big in his first year as a full-time starter.   Dalton is a natural linebacker, born to tackle ball carriers. He is such a technically sound backer that I have to give credit to the Carthage coaching staff for his development. This is just the beginning of a great high school football career for Dalton, this won't be the only time you hear this young man's name.
