Two of the top football programs in the state, Lee's Summit North from Kansas City, and Cardinal Ritter from St Louis, met up halfway for each in Columbia to face off and help each other get better and prepare for big season's for each coming up. Here are some of the standouts I saw in their joint practice.

[player_tooltip player_id='1188358' first='Marshaun' last='Ivy'], Cardinal Ritter 2027 LB
The 6'3" 225 is already a heavily coveted college recruit and it's easy to see why. Marshaun has great size, speed and strength. He plays physical and covers a lot of ground sideline to sideline with his ability to run and quick reaction to see plays develop and get after the ball carrier. He also has some underrated coverage skills in passing situation, and he rushes the passer well. He could play any LB position or be an EDGE on the next level given his versatility and athletic ability. Ivy showed all of it during the joint practice.

[player_tooltip player_id='719984' first='Justyn' last='Lindsay'], Lee's Summit North 2027 WR
I had seen Lindsay 6'3" 180 last year during 7v7 and was impressed with his ability he showed and potential to become a college prospect. This year he has shown that potential to D1 schools that have pulled the trigger on offers such as Nebraska and Iowa. At the joint practice, Justyn showed me that he has elevated him game and skills to another level. He's a tall receiver with great speed who gets separation in both single and double coverage in getting behind defenders to give he QB a open target. He was also a good weapon use in short and intermediate throws. He's a big play receiver who looks poised for a big junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1131048' first='Josiah' last='Robinson'], Lee's Summit North 2027 DB
The lockdown D1 cornerback prospect has moved over to safety to help his team with the thought that he can cover more ground and help in pass coverage even more. The speedy Robinson 5'10" 175 looked good there and made numerous plays against the run and in pass coverage in helping out his teammates and being a quarterback on defense for his team. He showed his great ball skills and looks bigger, stronger and even more physical against the run. Josiah told me he will also see some action at running back this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='691330' first='Elijah' last='Lucas'], Cardinal Ritter 2026 WR
It was a good day for the Western Michigan commit during the joint practice. Lucas 6'3" 204 is bigger, stronger and faster then before and showed improved route running skills. He has good hands and was consistent with his pass catching skills. He's a big body who uses it well against defenders, and is a strong weapon in the short passing game and in the middle. He also has the speed to be a deep threat and was a mismatch size wise against the Bronco defensive backs. This is the best I have seen him physically and with his play since I first saw him as a freshman. WMU got a good one.

[player_tooltip player_id='400917' first='Ace' last='Herman-Dawson'], Lee's Summit North 2027 OL
It was exciting to see the junior-to-be offensive lineman back in action and looking so good. Ace suffered a season ending injury last year when he played at Battle and is looking the best he has both physically and with his play since I first started scouting him as a 7th grader. The 6'5" 330 Herman-Dawson looks good at left guard opening holes and stacking pancakes with his ability to drive defenders into the turf. He also showed nice pass pro ability and looks like he is fitting in with his new team very well. He also had a few plays on the defensive side of the ball at defensive tackle. The will be interesting to see how that develops. Look for a dominant season coming for the new Bronco lineman.

[player_tooltip player_id='1128410' first='Manny' last='Ellis'], Cardinal Ritter 2026 RB
One of the fun things to see in scouting football players is when you see them elevate their game and performance to another level. [player_tooltip player_id='1128410' first='Manny' last='Ellis'] has done just that and showed it during the practice. He has shown me that he is a playmaker as a runner and receiver since he was a freshman. He played behind some future college players while he waited his turn and made the most of his limited opportunities. This year is his time to shine and he looks like a shooting star from what I saw. He can run hard between the tackles and has surprising strength and can lower the boom and move a pile. He also showed his track speed with a 70+ yard run down the sideline for a touchdown leaving some fast defenders 5-yards behind him tryin to track him down. Colleges need to take a hard look at the versatile back.

[player_tooltip player_id='849682' first='Marcel' last='Reed'], Lee's Summit North DL/OL 2026
A dominant force along the defensive line for the Broncos. The 6'1" 300 defensive tackle had his way for the most part with his ability to get the the backfield , disrupt and make plays. Marcel is the quickest and fastest I have seen him in scouting him since he was a freshman at Hazelwood Central in St. Louis. You can tell he has worked hard in the offseason to prepare and improve physically for his coming senior season. He's always been a strong kid and a bull with a great motor. He showed great technique and understanding of the game with his ability to read plays and shut them down. Reed is putting it all together at the right time and looks ready for a big season. He is also a standout playing guard along the offensive line.

Kasimir Manczuk III, Cardinal Ritter QB 2028
I've had the chance to watch the Logan-Rogersville transfer twice with his new team this summer and have been impressed both times. Kas is very smart and plays within his abilities and talent and doesn't try to do too much. He understands the offense, does a great job making reads and finding his targets and delivering the ball. I didnt see him make a turner over at either camp or practice. He has good arm and nice accuracy. Manczuk can pull the ball down and run showing a nice vision and ability to make plays with his legs by design or on scrambles. He does a good jump moving the sticks and can make all the throws, especially on his deep ball. He has a corps of speedy receivers to throw to. He's done a great job fitting in with his new team.

Stephen Thomas Jr., Lee's Summit North 2026 QB
The transfer from North Kansas City got the reps to start the joint practice. Thomas is a big, strong physical dual threat quarterback who was most effective running the ball when he was in there. He runs like a fullback with speed and can make big plays with his legs. He also has a strong arm and is a threat with his deep throws connected with his speedy receivers when he was on. He brings a different dimension to the Broncos offensive and will have a lot of weapons to utilize during the 2025 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1160667' first='Malahn' last='Green'], Cardinal Ritter 2027 WR
One of the rising stars in the St. Louis area is the speedy receiver transfer from St. Mary's. Malahn 5'10"178 has had a monster offseason starting with the Elite and Varsity combines and his MVP performances at them and with 7v7. He is a top flight athlete who runs great routes, gets separation and has very reliable hands. He's a big play playmaker in space with the ball in his hands or as a deep threat. He picked up his first D1 offer last month and you can expect more on the way if his junior season goes the way it appears to go after watching him a few times this summer.
