It has been a long, grueling off-season building sweat equity and grinding to be great.

And for most, the season couldn't get here any sooner. Time to see what the 2025 ballers have to offer.

In this report we are taking a quick look at five guys ready for stepping-stone seasons, including three trench warriors and a couple of offensive skill players getting ready to bring the fireworks this fall.

So without further adieu, let's check in and see what these guys have been doing in the off-season:

[player_tooltip player_id='1609901' first='Landon' last='Heise'] , 6'3, 275, OL, Kapaun, '26. He is coming off a strong junior season picking up all conference honors along the way and then shifted gears quickly to the off-season to get ready for an encore senior year. He has been busy since early in the year, wrapping up another good wrestling season and doing his football-training along the way. With his strong frame and mobility, he quickly establishes leverage before bulldozing down blocks in the run game or using his footwork to stay locked on the defender and deny the rush in pass pro. His summer has been busy attending camps and conducting visits at Lindenwood, Fort Hays, Missouri Western, Northeastern State and recently returned from a school visit in Sioux Falls. This guy is a mauler in the trenches and is primed for a big senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1419981' first='Eshawn' last='Tyler'], 5'10, 290, DL/NG, Shawnee Mission Northwest, '26. Last fall he established himself as a wrecking ball of a nose tackle who can stuff the run game between the tackles or use his physicality to pressure the QB up the middle. With his low center of gravity, quick feet and weaponized hands he destroys double teams and uses his lateral mobility to work through traffic along the line of scrimmage to get to the ball. His off-season has been productive as he has improved his speed and quickness and has been working on the nuances of trench warfare with Coach Cook. He has continued to be busy this summer, hitting camps at Lindenwood, KU and Missouri Western and attended junior day at Washburn. This guy is a TTG (Trained To Go) baller - and more than ready to go dominate this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1708194' first='Zion' last='Bell'], 5'10, 200, DB/RB, Rock Creek, '26. He is another baller flying under the radar who I have had my eye on since last fall. He is coming off a solid season a year ago as a two-way performer who is a pounding running back on offense and an aggressive defensive back on the other side of the ball. He plays a physical game whether on offense or defense, but has really shined as a running back with the power, quickness and balance to rip through arm tackles and pick up needed yardage after the initial hit. He has been hard at it this off-season lifting weights, doing plyometrics and has grown a couple of inches and put on 25 pounds, while still getting faster. His summer will continue to be busy as he plans to hit camps at Ottawa and McPherson later this month. Get this guy on your watchlist as he is getting ready for a breakout season this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1452155' first='Will' last='Quinn'], 6'2, 195, QB/DB, Andover, '27. He is coming off a season showing his athleticism as a two-way baller playing receiver and defensive back in order to get on the field as early in his career as possible. This fall he will go back to playing QB, the position he has always played except for last year. With his versatility on display in 2024 he showed glimpses of the explosiveness of his game. He has all the skills required of a dangerous dual threat quarterback with good size, breakaway speed and quickness and a strong arm. He has been fine-tuning his passing game with noted QB Coach Cagle of Midwest Passing Academy this summer working on mechanics, pocket footwork and ball placement at all three levels. This guy is a sleeper who is going to generate attention in a hurry this fall.

Kameron Geathers, 6'2, 305, C/DL, Leavenworth, '27. Big Kam is a large and in charge two-way trench dominator coming off a good sophomore season. He can play as a run-stopping defender as needed but where he really stands out so far has been as an interior lineman who can play guard or center. With his imposing size, reach and quick feet he positions well before hitting defenders in the mouth in pass pro or caving in down blocks in the run game. He has been busy this off-season lifting, doing speedwork and fine-tuning footwork and mechanics and has one more camp to attend this month when he heads to Ottawa on the 19th. He has also gotten even bigger in the off-season, growing an inch and transforming bulk into muscle. This guy may not be getting a lot of attention yet but he is going to change that with a big year in 2025.

In conclusion, get out and see these guys in action this fall – you will not be disappointed.
