Marquez is an under-the-radar DB talent out of Chula Vista. He's a skilled cover-corner that's extremely pesky on the perimeter with his physicality and ability to stay in phase with wideouts. He can change speeds with good stop-start agility and is efficient in his angles of attack. Consistently puts himself in spots to make a play on the ball and does a good job of disrupting front-end releases in press coverage. Marquez is a CB to keep an eye on in the south bay.

Alsop is coming off a strong junior season in the Poway secondary. He's a physical safety that likes to work downhill and make tackles around the LOS. Fits well into his brackets, takes good angles in pursuit, and shows his range getting out to the perimeter. Excels in quarters and two-deep coverage scenarios where he can use his instincts and reactions to make plays on the ball. Look for Alsop to put together another productive season in the fall.

Demery is one of the most underrated two-way talents in San Diego coming into his senior season. The 5'10"/170 ATH showed his versatile playmaking in all three phases for Eastlake last season and will look to bring more of that playmaking to Granite Hills this fall. He's a fast, twitched-up athlete that can run with receivers downfield and shows his WR-quality ball skills producing turnovers in the secondary (3 INTs in 2024). He's put together some strong performances at recent offseason camps and should be on the radar to pick up his first offer in the near future. Look for Demery to be an impact transfer for Granite Hills in 2025.

Steele is an underrated DB that offers tremendous upside in his physical tools at 6'3"/190. Led Madison's defense in tackles last season with 63 total (41 solo). He's a hard-hitting safety that flies to the football and shows no hesitation closing downhill. Great lateral range in coverage and punishes wideouts at the second level. Steele's physical upside should help him generate recruiting interest with a strong senior season in the fall.

Singh-Kim is a defensive back on the rise coming into his senior season with La Costa Canyon. The 6'/170 CB showed promising flashes in his junior tape and has continued to show his skill and athletic development in his offseason work. Gains depth with good footwork in his backpedal and can flip the hips to run with receivers. He's a physical tackler out on the perimeter and can breakdown and wrap up ball-carriers in space. Singh-Kim is firmly on San Diego's 2026 breakout radar ahead of the upcoming season.
