It’s All About Developing At Countryside

There is no getting around the fact that the past two years have not been what Clearwater Countryside head football coach A.J. Sattinger and his team wanted to get out of the seasons.
While it’s been a few years since the Cougars have had a winning season, the focus is now on developing and teaching, knowing that with a strong commitment to working year-round, things will start to fall into place.
Coming off a spring and summer where plenty of work has been put in, this coming season will not only give the seniors an opportunity to make an impact, but also underclassmen, who are anxious to turn this program around.

PROSPECT TO WATCH
2026 – Josh Acree, K/P, 6’0, 160 – 3.0 GPA 1150 SAT. Here is a prospect that has thrust himself into the spotlight as a rising special teams performer. Strong leg, versatile and a hard worker. He also gets it done in the classroom, which will always open doors
2026 – Nicolas Cordell Simmons- Gillespie, RB/CB, 5’8, 170. While he can play on both sides of the ball – and this program certainly needs him – he is a really productive defensive secondary performer who can cover and tackle. His leadership will be needed.
2027 – Dontavius Miley, SS/RB, 6’1, 170. Yet another skilled secondary performer who has ball skills, quickness and is always around the ball. Will not only step up as a pass defender but is not afraid to stick his nose in to stop the run.
2027 – Korontae Moore, DE/WR/TE, 6’2, 220 – 3.0 GPA. Yet another underclassman who will get it done on both sides of the ball and is someone who has the talent, size and skill to help elevate this program – on both sides of the ball.
2026 – Jaden Perez, OC/NG, 5’8, 225. This is a tough young man who leads by example – whether it’s on offense or making a contribution on the defensive side if the ball. When you watch him play, the first thing you notice is his motor. He never stops until the play is over, and as a senior, that is a quality that will go a long way.
2028 – Zion Poole, LB/TE, 6’2, 210 – 3.9 GPA. Basketball. One of the more versatile, athletic and talented players on this team, to understand that he is just a sophomore is to realize that this is the kind of student/athlete you build programs with. Anxious to see what he does this coming season.
