Defensive Prospects to Add to the Recruiting Board

<p>It is the peak of recruiting season, marked by visits, camps, offers, commitments, and decommitments. Coaches from over 800 teams are searching for the next standout prospect. They are also looking for team players, leaders, and DAWGs across all levels of football. Below are several prospects who are currently under the radar but deserve a spot on your recruiting board.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1703824' first='Lamyron' last='Smith'] had an underrated season in 2024. He recorded 56 tackles, with 20 being solo. He also made 7 TFLs and four sacks. Additionally, he has experience at running back. He can shoot through gaps due to a quick first step and reaction. He can bull rush due to good hand placement, pad level, and lower body strength to drive the OL back. He is an effective blitzer, capable of shooting through gaps with solid foot quickness. Jackson can stack and shed at the POA to make plays at the LOS. He utilizes his high motor to chase down ball carriers from behind. He is a high-IQ prospect who can effectively shut down zone coverage and compete in off-ball man coverage. He makes good use of his hands to fight throughout the route and contest the catch point. He plays the ball well, often forcing those pass breakups. Ware's fluidity, combined with good change of direction, balance, and burst, prevents receivers from creating separation during their breaks. He has the skill to track the ball effectively and force PBUs.
