On Tuesday, June 3, 2025 I was personally invited back for the third consecutive year by Fairleigh Dickinson University Head Football Coach Anthony Van Curen to cover his Football Mega Camp. With many other universities now following suit with mega camps of their own, Van Curen's is the O.G. in the area and, quite frankly, everyone is just biting off his style. However, at this point the term “mega” is probably an understatement to describe his event.

In what I would consider more of a celebration of the game, between the 560+ prospects registered, 100+ college coaches watching, clinicians, parents, and high school staffs there were literally around 1000 people coming out to compete, make connections, and enjoy an evening sample taste of football. As has become the norm for Van Curen's baby, the event was organized, structured, ran well, and was highly competitive.

In addition to eyeing prospects up, measuring their combine performances (40-yard dash, Pro Agility, Broad Jump), I was fortunate enough to receive unimpeded access to the grounds to evaluate and scout the talent on hand. In this article, I share my notes for the position group mentioned in its title.

In my last article covering this event, I mentioned the play of one Barringer defensive tackle and continue today with an end from the same team. [player_tooltip player_id='1703413' first='Domingo' last='Caraballo'] is well coached in using his hands. I saw him execute a very nice double-swipe to neutralize his matchups initial punch. From there he Caraballo refit his hands to control that offensive lineman's chest plate, working them back by finishing with a bull rush... Double-wipes seemed to work well for [player_tooltip player_id='1703408' first='Anthony' last='Perez'], too. Perez, a 2027 graduate from Wayne Hills, followed this double-swipe by bringing his hips through for an easy win.

Out of Montville Township came [player_tooltip player_id='1524810' first='Dante' last='Palladino']. During indy time, Palladino looked like he bent really well, moved low, quickly, and fluidly during bag drills. Although I did not get the chance to see him compete, I am willing to bet that this rising senior did well as he threatened with long strides that closed a lot of ground, quickly... Making the straight-shot on 78-Eastbound from Phillipsburg, [player_tooltip player_id='1703412' first='Aaron' last='Narcisse'] came to compete. Narcisse was a thick prospect I saw work off of power. From his bull rush I saw the snatch and also the long-arm.

There was not one school who rolled as deep as Elizabeth did. With roughly 25 prospects in attendance, [player_tooltip player_id='1703415' first='Josiah' last='Hood'] might have been the only one to represent their defensive line. Hood showed that he threatens, hard, with speed to the outside - yet is knowledgable enough to take the inside path when it is presented to him. That said, this rising sophomore must remember to stack behind his matchup should he beat them inside and also readjust his target in order to keep contain. Perhaps we can expect big things from this rising sophomore... Closing out is Park Ridge's [player_tooltip player_id='1703411' first='Ryan' last='Schwartz']. Schwartz showcased power in just about everything he did, especially his swipe move. When swiping, Schwartz absolutely came down to punish and put a hurtin' on the outstretched arms of the offensive lineman.
