I released my final batch of standouts from the 6/12 UND Flagship Camp in Grand Forks focusing on mostly the defensive backs that stood out but also the one linebacker that caught my attention for the bulk of the afternoon out of the state of Iowa and one that is under-recruited too.

The odds of me finding a new name prospect from Hawley, MN that intrigued me are high whenever I am in Grand Forks or Fargo, as that was the case for both of our PRZ scouts in attendance after watching 2027 Charles Steer. You couldn't miss the athleticism across the board that the 6'1 173 pound 2027 safety possessed, and the consistency he played with was evident all day long in Grand Forks from testing wrapping up with 1v1s. Charles is mightly instinctive for his age and that was true during 1v1s as the poise this incoming junior to be has especially playing with great range on all levels we were able to watch. Charles surely is the next name to know out of Hawley, as the live eval has been key for these young men over the last several years as we have gotten to know a plethora of them while camping in the Missouri Valley Conference especially in North Dakota.

Even as a 2026 prospect, I have found Landon to be just about everywhere we have been camping this June, as a 2027 cornerback that certainly has caught our attention. The 6'0.5 165 pounder from Fargo Shanley, has put up some eye-catching testing numbers over the summer and that was no different in Grand Forks with a 4.60 40-yard dash and a 4.37 pro agility and nearly 30 feet on the triple broad jump which is another eye-catching number I like. Landon has gotten I could tell even more rangey thru the live eval at camps this summer as I have gauged the instinctis being there, but surely he has casted a wider net in pass coverage. Surely a camp stockriser that is due for a rankings update in this 2026 class.

What do you know? The standouts keep coming from La Crosse Aquinas at the UND Flagship Camp, this time coming from the secondary in 2027 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1226899' first='Brady' last='Lee'] who is another two-count PRZ target that caught both eyes in Grand Forks. He started his blast off in my eyes during testing running a swift 4.50 40-yard dash with absurd 6'2 190 pound size. Brady to me was one of the most versatile safeties I watched in Grand Forks, as he could cover anyone, at any spot, with any size thrown his way. Oliver's note pad recorded double-digit PBUs in 1v1s which certainly right around what I saw as even when I wasn't watching Brady's rep initially this young man had me turn my head to watch how he finished his reps, as you all know there are not a ton of prospects that play with that kind of effect. Brady has to be a 2027 safety that is an early offer in this Wisconsin class as this kid showed off what a game-changer he was with two similar viewpoints from our PRZ scouts.

In my eyes, Major is one of NW Minnesota's biggest sleepers in this 2026 class and had himself an impressive showing at the UND Flagship Camp a handful of weeks back. Getting to watch Major in 1v1s, I am surprised that didn't grow college coaches attention to Major based on what I saw which was an elite ball-tracker, one that understood the best angle to attack on WR's routes, and played with the intent of physicality that every defensive back coach is going to want on their roster. He has some growth to go when it comes to his change of direction, but with what I saw him do with the live eval, I feel that growth curve for Major is a quick turnaround. Super surprised how light this young man's recruiting has been.

Ryan was another name out of Wisconsin that I have seen at plenty of camps this summer, but the UND Flagship Camp was the first wave I have been around his skillsets and there was certainly skillsets that intrgiued me in the first live eval. Ryan showed off to be one of the most springy defensive backs I watched in the entirety of the group which was the case in individual drills and fled too into 1v1s. Ryan was a 2026 DB prospect during 1v1s that got a ton of reps, and seemed to have that "chip on his shoulder" demeanor in my opinion, you want during 1v1s which Ryan showed off often. My colleague [player_tooltip player_id='1292679' first='Oliver' last='West'] called this out too as I saw it too in my live eval, I liked how quickly Ryan could flush a subpar rep down the drain and quickly learn from it and have a great next rep learning quickly from his last rep and what to improve. Little things like that are why Ryan has picked up his first offer from an NSIC competitor that was in attendance at the first UND Flagship Camp, as the Dragons of MSU-Moorhead offered last week.

Oliver Kendall, Dakota Collegiate, MB 2028 Twitter

It is becoming a trend over the last year or so, that some of my favorite underclassmen at the UND Flagship Camp hail from north of the border as Oliver Kendall was a 2028 out of Dakota Collegiate in Winnipeg that caught my attention in the defensive back group. During 1v1s, Oliver was locked in from a physicality standpoint, not giving the wide receiving core much room to operate but yet having the intuition to understand the balance of being too physical at the point of attack which Oliver showed well for his age. I felt after watching Oliver rep after rep, he showed that he is a 2028 DB prospect that has a quick growth curve thru coaching which should trendly for this incoming sophomore over the coming years out on Winnipeg.

The only linebacker on my big board from the UND Flagship Camp Camp on 6/12 not only showed off sound skillsets, but I am a firm believer you have to be a solid next-level prospect if you rock the cowboy collar, which is the case with Sioux City East 2026 linebacker Jacob Breyfogle. Jacob showed off early and often that he was one of the most fluid linebackers in the group from in my eyes and showed off persistent lateral movement which erupted at the point of attack during 1v1s with his elite games-speed he plays with consistently. There is no doubt that Jacob should have more attention in July on the recruiting trail, as a linebacker form NW Iowa that I feel is way too under the radar based on what two of us same at the UND Flagship Camp.
