These are three must-win games for the Golden Eagles. They open the season with two 6A opponents and a team dropping down from 6A from a year ago within the first four games. The Golden Eagles lost a lot of production from a year ago to transfers and graduation. It's a transition year for them, and if they plan on replicating their success from a year ago, they must win these games.

Three tough games. It's unlikely they come away with a win against any of these opponents, but if they can squeak out a win against any one of these teams, the season looks a lot more interesting.

2025 Outlook:

Tough scheduling, realignment, coaching changes, and player transfers really hurt what could have been a special season. They still have some playmakers, and they'll need to lean on them. Let's dig into who they are.

Key Players:

Ross is primed to take over as the WR1 this year for Maple. Ross opted to stay put instead of transferring out, and he should get rewarded with the vacated production. Ross has a good release package and has good footwork. He moves well laterally and has good overall movement patterns. He does well to create separation and tracks the ball well. Ross is strong at the catch point and is a player who is set up for a huge season.

Wolfgramm is primed for a sensational season. He has excellent size and frame for an edge rusher. He is explosive off the line, has good bend at the hip, violent hands, and good closing speed. Wolfgramm moves well laterally, is a strong defender and sheds his blocks with ease. He is primed to take over as the leading rusher on the team and should get double-digit sacks and be the center of attention for opposing teams.

Honsvick is primed to take on a bigger role this season, he's a hybrid backer that can switch to a defensive back and a hybrid safety. He has good instincts, has good quickness, and is a player who has good pursuit. His versatility will be instrumental for the defense this year.

Murray is primed to be the top defensive back for the team, and he's a player who shows good speed, can stick with shifty receivers, and does well with receivers larger than him. He is set up for a fantastic final season.

Uluave will be asked to take on a role this year with all of the vacated production and transfers he should get playing time. He has done well this offseason and he should put together some varsity tape this year.
