As we head deeper into the month of July, the 2025 high school football season is quickly approaching. With that in mind, we have entered a new round of rankings updates in the state of Kentucky, with the class of 2026 being the latest class to be updated. Now that these rankings have been posted, I will be breaking down our updated Top 275 by position. To kick things off, here are our top quarterbacks in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='283958' first='Cam' last='O'Hara'] has held on to the top spot at his position in this class ever since the initial rankings released a couple years ago. He is coming off another very impressive season in which he completed 212/325 passes for 3,617 yards, 52 touchdowns, and only three interceptions in 15 games. O'Hara is a true complete package at quarterback who has shown the ability to make any throw he is tasked with. In the deep passing game, he has the arm strength to stretch the field along with the touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also shows tremendous pocket mobility, showing the ability to move around the pocket to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. Cam has also shown the accuracy to fit passes into tight windows. He also ran the ball 59 times for 186 yards and four touchdowns as a junior. O'Hara is committed to Western Kentucky where I can see him becoming their next successful starting quarterback at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='401720' first='Maddox' last='O'Neal'] is a player who has consistently climbed up our rankings over the past two years. As a junior, Maddox completed 817/312 passes for 2,896 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions in 12 games. He has incredible arm talent, using his arm strength to lead his receivers down the field while also showing the ability to make tough off platform throws when under pressure. O'Neal has also shown the ability to hit his receivers out of the breaks so that they can make catches in stride. He has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and make plays with his legs when needed, running the ball 55 times for 201 yards last season. Maddox currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, Central Missouri, and Indianapolis, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='401922' first='Mario' last='Litmer'] is a quarterback who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to impress as a junior, completing 193/281 passes for 2,791 yards, 33 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 14 games. Litmer puts very impressive touch on his passes, showing the ability to put the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Litmer has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and use his speed to break away for big gains as a ball carrier, running the ball 68 times for 236 yards and five touchdowns last season. Mario has received some college interest and I wouldn't be surprised to see some offers start coming his way soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='283961' first='Colin' last='Daniels'] is another quarterback who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to stand out last season. As a junior, Daniels completed 184/274 passes for 2,305 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 12 games. Daniels has a very strong arm which he uses to stretch the field and hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. He also has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when necessary while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Colin also ran the ball 50 times for 165 yards and three touchdowns this past season. Daniels has received some college interest and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up this offseason.

To wrap up our top five quarterbacks in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1311244' first='Mason' last='Trimble']. Mason is coming off a strong junior year in which he completed 160/241 passes for 2,300 yards, 21 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 12 games. Trimble is a very accurate passer, using his arm strength to zip passes into tight coverage where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown the ability to hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. Trimble also has shown some impressive mobility, whether it results in escaping pressure to make throws on the run or tucking the ball and making plays as a ball player. He finished his junior year with 100 carries for 315 yards and four touchdowns. Mason has received a good amount of college interest and I expect a lot of eyes to continue to be on him heading into his senior year.
