Sights and Sounds: Valencia 7×7 Jamboree (Part 1)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LOS LUNAS</strong> – Eleven varsity teams competed Saturday at Valencia High School in a 7x7 Jamboree, including the reigning Class 6A champions Cleveland Storm.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The participating teams included (in alphabetical order): Atrisco Heritage, Centennial, Cleveland, Grants, Hope Christian, Los Lunas, Pojoaque Valley, Rio Grande, St. Pius X, Valencia and West Mesa.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cleveland gave starting rising senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='851873' first='Jordan' last='Kekoa Hatch'] the day off but Saturday showed the Storm clearly have enough talent at the offensive skill positions to seriously challenge for its second straight title and sixth in the last seven state championship games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Several other prominent quarterbacks put their skills in display, starting with Centennial's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1604943' first='Ruiz' last='Laborin']</strong>, who again showed off his great size and rocket arm. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1154948' first='Isaiah' last='Carpenter']</strong> (St. Pius X), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1137088' first='Kaiden' last='Reese']</strong> (Los Lunas), <strong>R.J.
