Sights and Sounds: Bernalillo 7×7 Tourney (Part 1)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>BERNALILLO</strong> – Nearly 20 varsity teams showed up at Bernalillo High School Saturday for the annual 7x7 Tournament hosted by the Spartans. The action started early at 8 a.m. and continued until late in the afternoon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bloomfield edged Valley, 35-34, in a thrilling tournament championship game. Valley began bracket play as the No. 14 seed but upended multiple higher seeded teams on the way to the title contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bloomfield was one of several Four Corners teams participating in the tournament, joining Aztec and Piedra Vista in making the 2-1/2 hour trip down Route 550.
