The rankings will be updated this coming week and here we take a look at a few of Oregon's top 2026 athletes who could make a nice jump up the board. Check it..

[player_tooltip player_id='1234612' first='Jalen' last='Bauman'] 5-10 175 CB Lake Oswego

The son of former Oregon Duck standout and NFL vet Rashad Bauman had a phenomenal junior year earning 1st team all-state honors. His speed puts him in a different category of athlete, running a 10.7 100 meters and 4.4 40-yard dash. He's a D1 recruit.

[player_tooltip player_id='402396' first='Brennan' last='Mesa'] 6-4 255 DL South Albany

Mesa has had an outstanding couple of months on the camp circuit, MVPing the PRZ event and doing well at the NW Showcase. He returns after earning 2nd team all-conference honors on the defensive side of the ball, while making 20 tackles with 3 TFL's and 3 sacks last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112467' first='Brayden' last='Miller'] 6-3 185 DB Scappoose

One of the most versatile overall athletes in Oregon who not many know about. Miller has size and has put together some of the best career numbers of any player at the 4A level, accounting for 125 tackles with 11 TFLs and 6 INTs over the last two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1528941' first='Kellen' last='Elliott'] 6-3 225 DE Summit

Get used to the name as Elliott is one of the fastest risers in the state, recently landing his first D1 offer from Portland St. He should make a nice jump up the rankings board with Summit competing for a 5A state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='402422' first='Rowen' last='Lewis'] 6-2 220 LB Lake Oswego

Another kid we've talked about a lot over the off season. Lewis will make one of the biggest jumps of any player in the state at the 6A level specific to the rankings. He will project as an Ivy League type kid and will have plenty of eyes on him this season with the Lakers likely ranked the #1 team in Oregon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585690' first='Obama' last='Shibo'] 5-10 170 DB Lakeridge

I'll admit I did not know much about Shibo heading into the year, but the kid can play. He recently did an outstanding job at the NW Showcase after a solid junior year which saw him record 27 tackles, with 6 PBU's, and 1 INT.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585714' first='Jackson' last='Skinner'] 6-2 195 OLB Marist

Skinner will be an Oregon 4A Defensive POY favorite after earning 1st team all-state honors last season and helping his team to the state title. He will make one of the biggest jumps of any player in the state on the rankings board with his 4.5 speed at the LB spot.

Reece Underwood 6-1 180 DB Tualatin

The Lakeridge transfer has had a big off season, being named the overall MVP at the PRZ showcase and really coming into his own during the 7v7 season. He is long and should be a solid contributor in the T-Wolves secondary this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1660153' first='Abraham' last='Zhyryada'] 6-5 290 DL Nelson

The big man has a chance to play D1 ball if he can put it all together. Zhyryada had a good junior year earning honorable mention all Mt Hood honors, but you can't teach the size which is what makes him such an appealing prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112461' first='Tyson' last='Walker'] 6-3 205 OLB West Albany

Walker projects as a 1st team all-state defender at the 5A level. The standout hooper could be a D2 steal and someone that a program develops with the ability to put some legit size on his frame.

[player_tooltip player_id='1660158' first='Mason' last='Perkins'] 6-2 225 DE West Linn

The reigning state champs are loaded with Perkins not necessarily having the name recognition. That said as he has legit size and had a super impressive junior season, earning honorable mention all TRL honors. He will make a nice jump up the rankings board.

[player_tooltip player_id='914317' first='Alekzander' last='Diaz'] 6-2 255 DE South Medford

Another kid to keep an eye on after a solid junior year. South will have some dudes returning and Diaz could be instrumental and one of the best in the South-Central Conference on the defensive front.
