There was a lot of talent to uncover at the Minnesota prospect camp on Monday to say the least. While [player_tooltip player_id='1292679' first='Oliver' last='West'] took the reigns with the skill positions, I was watching the trench monsters for most of my time in Dinkytown. This was one of the deepest camps I can recall when it came to college coach turnouts too as there around 400 athletes in attendance and several schools evaluating all over the place. Because I just can't get enough of watching the trenches, this series will take me multiple parts to get done as we start with Part I

A brand new name that caught a little of my attention at the Minnesota prospect camp on Monday was 2027 defensive end Timothy Schuller out of Chanhassen. Another young man with no film that I could find yet, but was an interesting defensive end that showed off a ton of great twitch in the reps I watched off the snap that showed off his tenacity and speed that is there for the taking. The 6'3 210 pounder is raw and under the radar, but coming out of a great program like Chanhassen I hope he is one that I learn more about in the 2025 fall season for the Storm as they have a great grasp of developing defensive ends..

The first name out of my home state of Wisconsin that caught my attention at the Minnesota prospect camp, came out of powerhouse La Crosse Aquinas which was 2026 defensive tackle William Flottmeyer. This young man showed off a blasting amount of agility out of his stance with his lateral movement as college coaches had to like what they saw out of that skillset on Monday in Dinkytown. The All-State defensive linemen, has position flexibility in the defensive trenches that college coaches should make note. During his reps, William impressed me with his shedding ability, getting off blocks fluidily and having the suddenness to get to the point of attack quickly. The 6'3 250 pounder should be a Midwest name to watch on his recruiting trail this summer as he surely has the bolstering motor I would want on my college football roster at the next-level.

One my fellow Outstaters I was watching closely at the Minnesota prospect camp on Monday was [player_tooltip player_id='1255144' first='Jaxon' last='Bartkowicz'] of Holdingford, as he caught my attention a handful times while in Dinkytown. Jaxon showed off the upside that college coaches could groom nicely as the 6'4 215 pounder showed off some rangy steps with length in the pass rush moves I was able to watch during 1v1s that had a lot of springy movement attached to them. This young man has more instinctive hands than I feel he gets credit for getting off of blocks which tells the tail from camp vs. tape. The long amrs that Jaxon possesses surely should intrigue He holds a couple NSIC offers thus far, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got more attention within the next month or less.

You can consider me still shocked that 2026 defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='591981' first='Braden' last='Minta'] out of Eden Prairie only has one FCS offer on his recruting trail this far. The 6'5 240 pounder has a 7'0 wingspan, and based off the live reps I watched at the Minnesota prospect camp, this kid shows off way more than just that length. He knows how to utilize those long yet springy strides to his advantage as he showed that off during 1v1 reps in Dinkytown on Monday. I surely feel even with light tape as a defensive end there is a lot of position flexibility for Braden on both sides of the ball for college coaches to navigate in the future. I love though the upside that Braden presents at the next-level as a defensive end.

There was not a prospect in the OL/DL group that blew up my notebook more than Alexandria defensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='743262' first='Jack' last='Morrissette'] did on Monday in Dinkytown. He surely was one that I felt elevated his stock with the eye test alone and had a plethora of D1 coaches watching his every move, as he was surely worth the watch. He showed off the twitch out of his stance I wanted to see in his 1v1 reps which showed more quickness than I had expected at his size and the long strides were also on display for Jack. The 6'4 240 pounder from Alexandria, also showed off an elite suddenness getting into his blocks which trigger the offensive linemen to get off their base, as I was really impressed with his change of direction with the several reps I watched out of Jack. He had one of the biggest motors in my eyes amongst the DTs with his size which had to intrigue the college coaches. Don't be surprised if Jack gets a good helping of Missouri Valley offers here soon.

Zach was one of the biggest offensive linemen I had in my notebook, and man, for his size I was quite impressed with how balance and smooth his footwork was from the reps I got to watch on Monday at the Minnesota prospect camp in Dinkytown. I also was very impressed with his hand placement in the bulk of reps I got to watch as Zach did a great job assuring that balanced leverage was achieved each time. The verified 6'6 310 pounder has me shocked that he only has one D2 offer that I could track as he is going to be a hot commodity in my eyes with his recruiting trail this summer.

Peyton was one of the first offensive linemen to grab my attention at Monday's Minnesota prospect camp in Dinkytown. The fluidity that Peyton has with his footwork didn't take long to stick out as it was persistently seen in the testing period and I got a hold of it later during Indy 1v1s. He also showed to be proactive with his getting his hands in position quickly shows off a balanced pad level in my eyes. No offers as of yet, but has sound interest coming from all three levels of college football at this point.

The first 2027 offensive linemen that caught my attention at the Minnesota prospect camp, is one that is a familiar name to our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcases, as [player_tooltip player_id='1653199' first='Liam' last='Nessler'] of Mankato West is one that I liked the growth from December to this week based on the reps I watched. The 6'4 250 pounder, has surely developed more efficiency with his footwork since December as far as the foot speed, lateral movement, etc. He right now is a sleeper in this 2027 class from the Scarlets, as we haven't seen any film come out, but has intrigued me in both of the live evals I have gotten in the last six months. Liam is one to stay tuned in to as we look at the 2025 fall season ahead.

Hunter was another familiar offensive linemen name at the Minnesota prospect camp that I liked the strides he has made within the last month or so since the season ended in the live eval I got. The 6'4 280 pounder sells me quickly on the eye test alone, but I thought he improved on with not only his laterally movement, but utilzing his lower-body length with that movement in the reps I watched as there was more popped out agility in his footwork than what I saw a month ago at the TrainingHaus Combine. The consistent tenacity Hunter displays as a consistent angle blocker still has me surprised he doesn't have his first offer yet at the D2 level especially.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255885' first='Matthew' last='Perusse'], OL, Maple Grove 2026 Twitter

Another Minnesota 2026 target that I felt the whole world of college coaches were watching and rightfully so, was Maple Grove offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1255885' first='Matthew' last='Perusse']. Matthew was one of the only offensive linement that peaked in my eyes with the eye test for how wirey his movement and footwork were and that consistency was evident from testing to the live 1v1 reps we watched on Monday in Dinkytown. Matthew dominated in 1v1s especially with his pass-protection reps I got to watch as he did a sound job of building a tight barrier that didn't also the pass-rusher to ever have a chance at utilzing their pass-rush moves. Matthew also showed off the impressive hands I watched at the 6A state championship game, as I could see definite growth from December to June with his pad-level, hand placement, etc. With eight D1 offers since March, Matthew surely is on a hot streak hunting for his first P4 offer too.
