McMinn County offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='402530' first='Camden' last='Goforth'] is officially headed to the beach — and he's bringing his physical, blue-collar brand of football with him. The senior standout has committed to Coastal Carolina, drawn in by a mix of culture, coaching, and connection that made the Chanticleers feel like home.

“The people there were just different,” Goforth said. “It's a beautiful area, and Coach [Steve] Warehime, the offensive line coach, really built a strong relationship with me.”

Goforth, known for his punishing style in the trenches, is expected to slot in as a guard at Coastal, where physicality and toughness are hallmarks of the offensive line. “They were looking for nasty OL — that's what I bring,” he said. “I fit great into their scheme. We watched film on how they teach technique, and it just made sense.”

The decision came after his official visit, which sealed the deal emotionally as much as it did schematically. “I felt something while I was there,” he said. The players and coaches made it feel like home for him. Goforth's parents loved it too — they could see how much the staff cares.

Despite having one more Official Visit lined up to West Virginia out of respect for their staff, Goforth said Coastal Carolina had everything he was looking for. “The overall visit just confirmed it. It felt right.”

Goforth has already started connecting with other commits, including Osiris Lopez (QB), who reached out before the visit and met up during the weekend. That sense of brotherhood, he says, is what he's most excited about. “It's a real family atmosphere,” he said. “You can tell everyone is bought in.”

When asked what the Coastal fanbase can expect, he kept it simple: “Somebody that always plays hard.”

The recruiting process wasn't just about offers and visits — it was also a personal journey. “It taught me that nothing's given to you. You have to work for everything,” Goforth said. That's the same advice he has for younger athletes: “Keep your head down and work.”

And if you're wondering what NIL deal would be a dream for this pancake-machine of a lineman?

"iHop — Pancake Season," he said quickly.

For Coastal Carolina, Goforth looks to be a perfect match: tough, loyal, and ready to move mountains in the run game — one pancake block at a time.
