In this article, we will showcase the 2026 wide receivers with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. He's extremely underrated and has the talent to play at the next level. Due to his good foot quickness and acceleration, he demonstrates a quick release against off-man and press coverage. This lets him close the gap quickly and use his hands to fend off jams. He can create separation off breaks due to good change of direction, body control, balance, and burst. He has strong hands, good hand-eye coordination, effective ball tracking, and body control. This enables him to catch passes from his frame, secure catches even in contested situations, and drag his foot along the sideline. He is a Future red-zone threat at the next level. He can adjust mid-route to catch passes thrown behind him or too high, often high-pointing the football. His quickness and route-running ability cause mismatches against zone. Schmitz displays a quick release due to his good footwork, acceleration, and foot quickness, which allow him to eat up space quickly. He effectively creates separation off breaks due to his good COD and balance and burst off his plant foot, not giving the defender time to recover. His good hand-eye coordination, body control, and strong hands enable him to adjust mid-route and make contested catches. He utilizes his quickness and burst post-catch to get upfield on RPOs/Screens immediately. He has good hand-eye coordination, body control, and strong hands, as he can adjust mid-route and catch against the contest.
