2026 Rankings Newcomers: Norcal Best of the Rest (Part. I)

Welch is one of the top two-way players returning to the CCS this Fall and has been dominant on both sides for several years now. He checks into our rankings inside the top 400 across California and holds offers from Georgetown, Sacramento State and Portland State heading into the Summer. Welch is a smooth athlete with natural ball skills, plays with tremendous physicality and has big play abilities with the ball in his hands. At the next level he projects as a inside receiver and has elite downfield speed, initial burst/sudden twitch and explosion with a big catch radius and natural hands in traffic.     Jacobson checks into our rankings in the most recent update, and is one of the top player sat his position across the Bay Area. He is a violent striker that can finish blocks downfield, shows he can block in space, get to the second level and has a strong base through contact. He wins with leverage and initial power and projects as a interior guy in college and already is very technically sound. Currently, he has offers from Georgetown, Lehigh, Portland State and Air Force.     Beverly is one of the premier tackles in northern california, and recently committed to UC Davis which was a huge get for the Aggies. He has the ideal tackle body and length and is a natural bender with tremendous athleticism and initial explosion that will only continue to grow and develop at the next level. He checks into our rankings this time around and is poised for a huge Senior season for one of the states top small schools.     Hartley checks into our rankings this time around after coming off a solid junior season for Oakland. He will be one of the top returning players across the OAL this Fall and offers great length at the safety position at the next level. He is a long and rangy prospect with closing speed, covers a ton of ground in the open field and packs a punch at the point of attack when coming up in run support. He shows natural ball skills, a quick trigger on the perimeter and is fluid in transition downfield while offering some good upside in college due to his length and frame.     Bryant is one of the most explosive receivers across the Bay Area and has elite downfield speed, initial burst and is near impossible to take down in open space. He is twitchy in the short area while a strong ball carrier after the catch and can get over the top of safeties and really stress the third level. Bryant can run a diverse route tree, is a very defined route runner and quick in and out of his breaks and can easily beat both man coverage and settle against zone due to being a high IQ route runner. He holds offers from Idaho, Nevada and West Alabama.
