We're getting deeper into the 2026 pool this week as we continue adding evaluations to student-athletes' profile pages here at Prep Redzone Iowa. Posting as many reports as we can for this class and beyond is the goal.

Here are another half dozen write-ups from a talented recruiting cycle:

During a difficult season for his team, Parmater did what he could to create positive results. The junior produced 19.0 tackles (16 solo, 7.5 TFL). Parmater also punishes opponents as an offensive lineman. When we pop on his 11th-grade highlight video, the first clip shows him blocking a defender onto his butt. The second play has him shooting through a gap, pouncing on a tackle for loss. Then it's another pancake. Parmater operates with physicality on both sides of the ball. I'm split on if I like him on offense or defense, which gives college options.

The Warriors return a lot of production for a team that showed potential last season, which could bode well in 2025. Griffin certainly is a piece of that puzzle. He is an absolute mauler at the center position. Griffin's junior highlight video emphasizes his talents. He's explosive off of his snap and powerful when he engages the opponent. The first few clips on the tape show him handing out pancakes before the defender can react. Griffin's quickness and athleticism could also work at guard.

Gerleman delivered as a junior in 2024, when he piled up 37.0 tackles (33 solo, 1.0 TFL) and picked off two passes. His 11th-grade highlight video reveals a heady performer that diagnoses plays quickly and acts accordingly. In ADM's zone, Gerleman lines up at cornerback. He sticks to guys running through is area. When he recognizes the run, he steps up with physicality and technically sound tackling. Gerleman might work at safety with his skill set, too.

Defense was a strength for Ankeny last season, and Becker was in the middle of it, literally and figuratively. The linebacker recorded 33.0 tackles (12 solo, 5.0 TFL). Becker's junior highlight video shows him overcoming non-traditional size at the position with toughness and speed. He makes noise coming off of the outside of the defensive end and blowing up plays in the backfield. Becker covers a lot of ground sideline to sideline. I think he could work as a safety in plenty of college systems.

Tate's Hudl page doesn't contain a junior highlight video but there are highlights from individual games. They lend insight how he came about 31.0 tackles (25 solo, .05 TFL), two fumble recoveries and an interception. Tate has fluid hips he can flip quickly when receivers change direction. Breaking down and wrapping up, he's adept at delivering tackles when one-on-one with the ball carrier. Tate would also be a special teams' asset on the next level.

The Bobcats reached the postseason in 2024 with Ernzen helping pave the way for success from the trenches. In reviewing his junior highlight video, Ernzen recorded 9.0 tackles (4 solo, 4.0 TFL) as a disrupter on the D-Line. He flies off of the edge and is physical enough to crash the middle. Ernzen is quick and separates well from blocks. He keeps his head up and on the target, carrying out his assignment and pouncing when the ball comes his way. Strength is a key asset for Ernzen, who usually holds an advantage over his opponents in that regard.
