As we approach the heat of the summer, the 2025 high school football offseason is in full swing. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to focus on some of the top incoming seniors in Missouri in specific areas of the state, starting with St. Louis County. To kick things off, here are some notable quarterbacks to keep an eye on in the class of 2026 in St. Louis County!

[player_tooltip player_id='926017' first='Brett' last='Ottensmeyer'] is one of the top returning quarterbacks in the entire state in the 26 class. He is coming off a strong junior year in which he completed 224/338 passes for 2,484 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Ottensmeyer is a very accurate passer, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receivers can catch them. He has also shown the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Brett currently holds offers from Miami (OH), Sacramento State, Kent State, and Missouri State, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1130311' first='Sam' last='Deen'] is another quarterback coming off an impressive 2024 season. As a junior, Deen completed 168/312 passes for 2,333 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He has a strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. Deen also puts a nice amount of touch on his passes, showing the ability to place the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Sam currently holds offers from McPherson and Benedictine, and I expect more to come his way heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250624' first='Patrick' last='Hutchcraft'] is a quarterback who caught my attention when breaking down junior year film. He has shown impressive mobility when under pressure, showing the ability to either escape the pocket and make throws on the run or tuck the ball and pick up yards as a ball carrier. Patrick is also an accurate passer, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks so that they can make catches in stride. Hutchcraft doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='402127' first='Kyren' last='Eleby'] is coming off a solid junior season in which he completed 173/305 passes for 2,092 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Eleby has a cannon for an arm which he uses to stretch the field and hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game with ease. He has also shown impressive poise under pressure, showing the ability to stand tall in the pocket and deliver passes with defenders closing in on him. Eleby also finished his junior year with 79 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Kyren has received some college interest and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him heading into his senior season.

My final quarterback to watch in the class of 2026 in St. Louis County is [player_tooltip player_id='1125489' first='Will' last='Travers']. As a junior, Will completed 148/255 passes for 1,394 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Travers has shown impressive pocket mobility, showing the ability to maneuver around the pocket and escape when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. He has also shown the arm strength to stretch the field on the deep passing game. Will doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a quarterback to keep an eye on this upcoming season.
