Lakeland doesn't rebuild—they reload. The Dreadnaughts have long been a powerhouse in Polk County and statewide, and this spring is no different. With key returners, rising stars and a few new faces in the mix, this team is primed for another dominant season. Here's who stood out at practice:

[player_tooltip player_id='1247490' first='Malik' last='Morris'] | ATH | 2026 | @MalikMoriss43_

A true Power 5-caliber player. Morris is a tone-setter on defense at linebacker and a bowling ball on offense when used in the run game. He's one of the most versatile and explosive players in the country. Missed him at practice but will circle back during the spring game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592775' first='Joaquin' last='Kavouklis'] | QB | 2027 | @joaquinkav10

One of Florida's premier 2027 quarterbacks. Kavouklis shows excellent mechanics, anticipation, and accuracy. Since transferring to Lakeland, he's adapted quickly and looks ready to lead this offense. His poise and command are well beyond his age.

[player_tooltip player_id='1671138' first='Santana' last='Harvey'] | DE | 2027 | @santanaharvey_0

Already a 6-5, 225-pound edge rusher with four-star status. Harvey is raw but scary talented. His length, motor, and upside make him one of the top defensive prospects in the state and Power 5 schools are lined up.

Jordan Young | DB | 2027 | @jordanyoung_05

Built like a college safety at 6-2, 180, Young plays fast and physical. He's confident in coverage, shows elite ball skills, and isn't afraid of contact. Four-star defensive back who's only getting better.

Cameron Fuse | WR | 2028 | @D1Cam04

One of the top 2028 wide receivers in the nation. Fuse is 6-2, 185 pounds and already competes like a varsity veteran. He's added muscle and burst to his frame and has future star written all over him.

CJ Cresser | DB | 2026 | @CJCresser

A lockdown corner with elite instincts. Cresser will continued to shine at Lakeland as he displays solid footwork, anticipation and physicality. Missed him at practice, but his production precedes him—Recently committed to USF.

Zephaniah Rogers | OLB | 2026 | @ZephaniahRoger5

A rangy, athletic linebacker who plays with edge. Rogers is a strong tackler in space and adds another weapon to this already loaded defense. He's one of our intriguing defensive prospects in the county.
