New Midwest Faces in the Class of 2027

It's never too late to take a look at some new athletes going into the 2025 football season. I know going into the 2025 season its the senior classes final year to show college scouts what they can offer to a football team. But some of the juniors of the class 2027 have plenty to offer for this upcoming season, a couple of these athletes you might be familiar with already, but I believe soon their names will be pretty well known very soon.   We're going to take a dive into 6 young men that really proved they have what it takes on the football field.    Tune has all the juice to make an impact for years to come.   Reed Tune from Mountain View, Missouri is such a naturally talented Linebacker. He plays like the game is almost in slow motion because he can diagnose plays so quickly. When he makes up his mind where he needs to be he is off like a light and when he makes contact with the ball carrier, he makes sure they are hitting the turf.   I think his best attribute by far is his ability to blitz from his linebacker position. Tune loves to bring the heat literally right between the guard and center and it usually has good results for the defense.   I believe Tune is just getting started he has two years left in high school football, I'm going to love his progress.      Very underrated is [player_tooltip player_id='1732497' first='Kaden' last='Wilson'] from Waynesville MO.   Many might not be familiar with Wilson's game mainly because he only started three games in his sophomore year. But when Wilson received his chance to show what he's got he did not disappoint. Don't let the size on his profile fool you Wilson is not an easy man to get to the ground. In the three games he did get the starting nod he showcased the ability to be a very electric ball carrier. He can get from one point to another extremely fast, he has the stunning ability to cut and slash his way between would be tacklers with ease.   I would probably guess Wilson will start his junior year and I'm excited to see a full season with him in the backfield.        One of the most athletic kids in Missouri is Mr. Pickett.   Here is another athlete that didn't have a lot of time on the field in his sophomore year, Pickett's year was cut short from injury. The games I did get to see Pickett he was pretty impressive. He's listed as an athlete because I saw him play RB, S, and LB and I couldn't lockdown one position that would better suit him. Not a bad thing in the slightest because he excelled at all three positions. On defense I could in vison him playing a rover/hybrid type of position.   On the offensive side of the ball at running back he is a one-cut type of back that grinds between the tackles. He has pretty good speed to turn the corner as well he is a pretty impressive athlete to say the least.   I would go on to say that Pickett is going to do his best work in the backfield and really make a name for himself as one of the best backs in southwest Missouri.      Just an overall gamer at the Quarterback position.   Sometimes you can just tell that a football player just has what it takes to win football games. If I were a football coach for North County, I would sleep pretty good at night knowing I have Mccluer under center. He just gets the job done and that's all you want from your QB. Mccluer's best attribute is his ability to use his legs, he is an electric ball carrier at the Quarterback position. North County uses a lot of designed runs for Mccluer, and he reads his blocks very well, it's pretty natural for Mccluer.   Braydee is entering his junior year, and his arm is getting better and better every game he's played in. Soon I see him putting it all together his final two years and get some college offers pretty soon.        Poised, polished and game ready is Scott.   If you're on the lookout for a perfect game ready pocket passer then look no further than Odessa, Missouri. Scott has what it takes to win you football games in college football. Whenever you have a sophomore quarterback starting varsity ball you kind off turn your head already as it is, then you do a double take when you see the numbers Scott put up in 2024.   He is a calm and collected passer that already has a cannon for an arm that seems to be getting stronger with all the extra work and camps he has attended in the off season.   With two more years left in high school ball Scott has a chance to set Missouri a blaze.     A very, very smart football player is [player_tooltip player_id='1640591' first='Victor' last='Reyes'].   I first encountered Reyes at the You Are Athlete camp in Kansas City, Mo. He easily moved the best out of all the linebackers, he is effortless in his sideline-to-sideline movement he is a very impressive athlete. After watching him earn an invite to Houston Texas as one of the standouts at camp I was eager to watch some film in full pads.   Reyes was even more impressive when he could play more physical. He is a sure tackler as it gets, he plays with great form and leverage when tackling. This is just the start of Reyes's story he is just going to get better and better I have no doubt in my mind about that. College recruits are going to lineup to have a chance to grab this young man.
