Impactful Under The Radar 2026 Indiana Defensive Linemen

We're heading to the defensive trenches today to highlight a handful of incoming seniors who have made an impact on the line and are looking to build on their success in year 4.    Ferverda is a true interior lineman who plays both sides of the ball, but he's at his best on defense. He's a high motor guy who doesn't take reps off and fights through double teams without backing down. He's got strong hands, holds his ground well, and makes tough tackles in tight spaces. He clogs lanes, disrupts timing, and brings consistent effort snap after snap. Just one of those guys who makes life tough inside.     McCormick is a speedy edge rusher who gets off the ball fast and can turn the corner in a hurry. He's got good bend and knows how to flatten out and close when he beats the tackle. Slow-developing plays don't stand much of a chance with how he comes off the edge. He's not just speed, he's got solid strength and can mix in a bull rush when needed. With a fantastic frame and room to keep filling out, he will only get harder to handle.     Ramsey plays like his hair's on fire and doesn't let up. He's the Energizer Bunny for his team and brings juice every single snap. He comes off the edge with intent and makes it clear he's not just out there taking up space. He's constantly in the backfield, piling up sacks, forcing fumbles, and creating chaos. He's a tone-setter and one of those guys who's just always around the action. High motor, high energy, and you feel his presence the whole game.     Tipton is a big, physical presence in the middle and has true nose tackle traits. He takes up space, eats blocks, and helps clog things up inside so others can flow and make plays. He's tough to move off the ball and does a good job anchoring against double teams. His reach is solid, too. If the ball carrier comes near him, he's got the strength and control to wrap up and finish. He plays his role well and brings value just by being a problem to move.     Storm was new to football last year, but you wouldn't know it watching him now. He showed out at the PRZ camp and has only built on that momentum since. He's still raw in some areas, but as an edge rusher, his speed and twitch are hard to miss. He gets off the ball fast, changes direction well, and has the kind of movement that's tough to teach. With how far he's come already, the ceiling is wide open.
