Film Room: 2026 West Suburbs Athletes

During the offseason we will be breaking down the film of all the top prospects from across the state ahead of our massive 2026 rankings update in the upcoming months! Here is a look at some of the “athletes” in the 2026 class in Film Room: 2026 West Suburbs Athletes!    Glock is such a versatile weapon on both sides of the ball. As a wide receiver he is money on the skinny post route where he splits the defense down the middle of the field tracking it well for long gains. Crisp route runner that has a knack for getting open. Defensively as a corner he makes plays on the ball in the air and bats down passes with good instincts. Can also play some free safety where he reads the defense as a centerfielder making plays on the back end. Gets off blocks to make tackles. Impacts on special teams and showed some vision and breaking tackles as a back. So many ways to deploy him!     Christensen is a tight end/jumbo slot on the offensive side while a high level defensive end on the other side. As a receiving threat he has good hands as a natural pass catcher. Finds openings in the defense and is a safety blanket for his QB. Defensively as an edge he can line up with his hand in the dirt or standing up. Physical edge rusher that uses his technique and long arms to get to the passer. Good burst closing for sacks.     Harkins emerged this season as a legit WR for his star QB. Good size at 6'2" 180 pounds with downfield speed. High points the rock in the air and wins off the line of scrimmage vs press coverage. Ball skills to make acrobatic catches in the air tracking it well downfield. Also contributes as a kick returner and is a solid defensive back as well.     Plumb is a plus athlete that goes 6'4" 215 pounds. Projects best as a linebacker at the next level. Really settled into that role as a junior. Knifes through the line of scrimmage making plays in the backfield for TFL's. Vicious hitter that diagnoses plays. Fills in the hole and can take on blocks before making the tackle.     McClain is a 5'7" athlete that shines in all three areas of the game. Offensively he is a change of pace scat back that has quick cuts in the hole. Slippery with the ball and has speed to break it. Solid hands catching it out of the backfield. Defensively he is a free safety/slot corner that reads the QB's eyes tremendously well. Jumps routes and breaks on balls consistently batting them down. Big time ball skills. Can come off one receiver and make a play on another. Speed and feel in kick return game as a special teams contributor.     Crape is a 6'1" 145 pound athlete that plays all over the field. Shows off his big time speed as a wildcat QB, running back, and wide receiver. Explosive cuts with the rock in his hands. Probably projects best at corner where he high points the ball, tracks it well in the air, and bats down passes consistently with instincts.     Rogers goes 6'0" 190 pounds and the Hinsdale Central product contributes on both sides as a running back and defensive back. As a running back he is patient, has burst with the ball in his hands as a home run hitter. Can catches passes especially on wheel routes. As a defensive back he is a physical press corner that uses the boundaries very well as the sideline is his best friend pushing pass catchers toward it. Solid tackler.     Rogers goes 6'0" 190 pounds and the Hinsdale Central product contributes on both sides as a running back and defensive back. As a running back he is patient, has burst with the ball in his hands as a home run hitter. Can catches passes especially on wheel routes. As a defensive back he is a physical press corner that uses the boundaries very well as the sideline is his best friend pushing pass catchers toward it. Solid tackler.     Pearson is a core special teams player that is good on the coverage unit and is a solid kick returner.
