He demonstrates good upfield burst, beating the OL inside. Additionally, Reed has the lateral quickness to sidestep and make plays at the line of scrimmage. He utilizes good hand placement, pad level, and lower body strength, allowing him to be stout and create traffic. He plays with a high motor and good play strength, demonstrating a willingness to work through the second and third levels of the defense. Crooks shows good initial quickness in his base blocks and pass sets. He has active feet, good lower body strength, and the power to effectively displace defenders. Additionally, he can mirror opponents in pass protection due to his solid lateral quickness, balance, and hand placement, which allows him to maintain control.
