Arkansas Field Generals: Summer Watchlist

<p>Spring football has concluded, and the school year is ending. Here are five linebackers to watch this summer.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Jaterrion Williams is a Will (weakside) linebacker who can effectively play the cutback and not over pursue. He's a reliable tackler in space with a solid motor post-snap. He's a true Mike linebacker with good physicality at the point of attack. He displays solid read-and-react ability, quickly diagnosing the run and shooting through gaps. He is a versatile linebacker who can play both Will and Mike spots. He displays patience by not overpursuing and playing his assignment and lane while waiting for cutbacks against wide zones. He is an effective blitzer, capable of shooting through gaps with solid foot quickness and an ability to shed blockers quickly. He utilizes his high motor to chase down ball carriers from behind. He also has experience at running back. Williams is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker who showcases solid angles and physicality at the point of attack, allowing him to make tackles across the field consistently. He has a quick first step, keeping his eyes in the backfield to read and react quickly. He can also create pressure off the edge with his quickness and physicality. He's assignment and gap sound and will make plays in the backfield and at the line of scrimmage.
