Arkansas 2029 Prospect Watchlist

<p>The official rankings for the 2029 class will be released this year, so we wanted to start a watch list and discuss some of the prospects. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1663245' first='Dereon' last='Holt'] is going to be one of the top prospects at his position for this class. He possesses the size and toughness to succeed. He displays good pre- and post-snap vision, reading the first level, locating and attacking the running lane with good burst. Holt showcases good footwork to navigate and lateral quickness through traffic. He's able to evade early penetration due to good contact balance to break tackles and solid change of direction and foot quickness to evade in space. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Note – 3.7 GPA</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Dereon__Holt/status/1926616033281859997 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1682844' first='Jadon' last='Coleman'] is a versatile athlete who currently plays running back, defensive back, and linebacker. He utilizes his quickness, foot speed, and overall athletic ability on both sides of the ball to evade defenders or chase down ball carriers. He impressed me on the defensive side of the ball with a short amount of reps, racking up multiple interceptions. He displayed fluidity, a solid change of direction, balance, and burst to transition effectively and stick with his man, staying inside the hip pocket and forcing interceptions. I'm particularly intrigued by his potential as a receiver due to his ability to gain yards after the catch. He demonstrates good change of direction, lateral quickness, balance, and an impressive burst of speed when moving upfield. Gordon can be utilized in sweeps and motions to draw attention or take the top off vertically. He displays solid initial quickness into his base and combo blocks. He utilizes good hand placement and active feet to control, drive, and displace opponents. He plays with a solid motor and play strength. He displays good pocket mobility and awareness to evade pressure post-snap or be effective on quarterback-designed runs. He's a solid decision-maker who remains poised in and outside the pocket. He also shows the ability to throw on the run, demonstrating a solid release point, good ball placement, and timing at all levels of the field.
