All State Preps Camp Evals: The Maryland Edition Pt. 1

During drills, he showed solid change of direction. His best work came during the 1v1 session. I thought he quickly got in and out of his cuts on his routes. I'd like to see him continue to work on his explosiveness. He wasn't named one of the Top 3 performers of the day, but he made a strong case for the No. 3 spot in particular. I've seen him a few times in the past year. Davis impressed me with being able to get wins at all three levels during the 1v1 session. Like most young receivers, he'll have to be more explosive. I thought he did a great job dealing with the physicality at the line of scrimmage during the 1v1 session. Considering that he's a 6-2, 245-pound defensive lineman, I thought his agility and footwork during position drills impressive. The big guy can move for someone his size. Ituka didn't look out of place running downfield with the running backs during 1v1s. He plays defensive end for his team. He's a legit 6-2 and is long. During the Indy period, he was smooth with his backpedalling and hip turns. During 1v1s, I thought he showed good range and looked very comfortable in coverage. He showed quickness coming out of his break, doing some of the position drill work I could watch. In the two 1v1 reps I watched, Davis did a few things that stood out. He did not let the receiver release or threaten him inside either rep. Two, his transition from a backpedal to turning to run with the receiver was perfect. Three, he was stride for stride with the receiver in both instances, which caused an incompletion.
