2028 Multi-Positional Athletes to Watch

<p>We wanted to cover prospects who are playing both ways in the class of 2028. After evaluating their film, here are five prospects to watch throughout 2025:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1551642' first='Max' last='Eldridge'] earned Freshmen All-State from us for his 2024 performance. He plays both running back and defensive back, making significant contributions on both sides of the ball. He displays solid post-snap vision at running back, effectively locating running lanes with patience and attacking holes with good burst. Eldridge becomes elusive in space, able to evade defenders due to his fluidity and lateral quickness. He showcases a sideline-to-sideline motor as a defensive back and takes good angles in run support. He has solid read-and-react skills, allowing him to arrive at the catch point to either make a play on the football or deliver a tackle in space. He demonstrates solid route-running skills and has a strong understanding of zone coverage, allowing him to exploit weak spots and create opportunities for the quarterback. He has experience playing both defensive back and wide receiver. Like many players in his class and beyond, he is still developing, but he demonstrates the quickness needed off the snap that allows him to effectively pressure the quarterback. As a linebacker, he demonstrates a high motor and uses effective angles in run support. He shows good read-and-react abilities, focusing on the backfield to make quick decisions. Additionally, he is capable of settling and transitioning smoothly in zone coverage.
