2027 Multi-Positional Athletes to Watch

<p>We wanted to cover prospects who are playing both ways in the class of 2027. After evaluating their film, here are five prospects to watch throughout 2025:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">RJ Eaton is a highly athletic prospect who dominates at both defensive back and wide receiver. He's a smooth route runner who can stretch the defense vertically with his good foot speed. He can find the soft spots in coverage while showcasing solid hand-eye coordination and body control to adjust mid-route. At defensive back, he's fluid and will stay inside the hip pocket off breaks due to solid COD, balance, and burst. He plays both linebacker and wide receiver. Defensively, he is gap-disciplined and plays with a good motor, sideline-to-sideline. He is a reliable tackler in space and can redirect plays back inside. Baldwin is a smooth route runner as a receiver, frequently creating separation at the break of his routes or finding soft spots against zone defenses. On film, he particularly stands out as a defensive back or wide receiver for the next level. Radford is athletic and will stretch the defense vertically at wide receiver. He displays a quick release due to solid acceleration and foot quickness, allowing him to eat up space quickly with his strides. He can create separation off breaks and be a threat after the catch. Defensively, he displays solid fluidity to transition and stick with his man vertically or off breaks. He demonstrates solid read-and-react skills and uses good angles when attacking downhill against the run. Beloney is capable of stacking and shedding blockers to make plays at the line of scrimmage or in the backfield. He's an athletic wide receiver who can also play defensive back. He displays good foot speed and release to eat up space and quickly reach the stem. He can create separation off his breaks due to solid change in direction, lateral quickness, balance, and burst. Additionally, Maxwell demonstrates solid hand-eye coordination and body control.
