2026 Multi-Positional Athletes to Watch

<p>We wanted to cover prospects who are playing both ways in the class of 2026. After evaluating their film, here are five prospects to watch throughout 2025:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1257465' first='Orion' last='Roberts'] possesses very good athletic ability with his deep threat speed and ability to change direction easily. He plays both defensive back and wide receiver. Roberts displays a good sideline-to-sideline motor, displaying good recovery speed and fluidity when transitioning to stay with his opponent vertically or off breaks. He can line up in off-man coverage, play on the boundary, or take on a role at the nickel position. He is a lengthy receiver with good hand-eye coordination and body control, allowing him to adjust mid-route effectively. Dotson demonstrates solid mental processing skills, enabling him to locate and settle in voids against zone defenses. He demonstrates good pocket mobility and has the awareness to evade pressure post-snap. Jacobs displays solid ball placement at all levels of the field and has the freedom to adjust his release point as needed. He is a vertical threat with a quick release, making him a valuable asset in the passing game. Additionally, Young excels at gaining yards after the catch, consistently evading defenders in space. On the defensive side, he showcases good coverage skills and the ability to disrupt passes. Young plays with a relentless motor from sideline to sideline and demonstrates solid read-and-react abilities. Schroeder demonstrates solid angles when pursuing the ball carrier and showcases good field vision when reading plays. His ability to react quickly allows him to arrive at the catch point and successfully force either a PBU or an INT. He's a trustworthy defensive back with good football IQ.
