2026 Linebacker Follow Up

He is a linebacker from D'iberville who has really good size. He is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound dog who gets it done on the field. We are thinking that he is going to be an inside linebacker on the next level. Triplett reads keys well and is able to cover the middle of the field in zone coverage. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1258744' first='Bennett' last='Payton']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Payton is from Noxubee County. He is around 6-foot-3 and weighs a little over 200 pounds. A lot of coaches would not mind having a player like him on their team. He is a vicious edge rusher who loves to make violent tackles. Coaches need players like him flying around making things happen on their defense. He plays for New Hope. I think that he is going to be a linebacker on the next level. Harkins is another kid that knows how to read keys and come up and fill holes. Harkins is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound stud who definitely has the r9om to pack on some more pounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1136446' first='Xavier' last='Thomas']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas is a player with the skills to get come up and make very hard hits. He is also a prospect who we have seen at combines. He is from Northside. Thomas is a linebacker with good instincts and a great feel for the football. He is one of those guys you are always going to see around the pile getting in on the tackle. He stands around 6-foot-2. We do not have a recent confirmed weight on him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
