The 6th Grade Kentucky vs. Tennessee Future Stars Game has only been in existence since 2021. While Kentucky holds the early lifetime series lead at 3-1, the truth be told, this game is a complete toss up. This level is all about development and sticking a toe into the water of next-level competition. There were only two (2) Quarterbacks selected for the 6th Grade Kentucky Future Stars in 2025, but these two certainly check the boxes for me on film. That said, we'll see what's up come June. Without further adieu, here's a look at the two (2) Quarterbacks that were slected.

When looking at the future of the Quarterback position in the Blue Grass State, it makes sense to start with [player_tooltip player_id='1668300' first='Kade' last='Johnson']. Johnson had a very productive season for Pikeville, leading them to the KYMSFA 6th Grade Region 4 championship, before bowing out in the state Semi-finals. Johnson finished with a 76% completion and passed for 1,314 yards and 18 TD passes vs. only 3 INTs. Furthermore, the 2031 prospect added 547 rushing yards on just 33 carries and eight touchdowns on the ground. There are lightyears between today and the recruiting process, but he looks the part.

On the sixth-grade level there is so much football yet to be played and an immeasurable amount of development left to happen. However, when watching the limited film of Goff playing from this season--it's hard not to see how bright his future is. He's a high-cut kid with long legs and athleticism. He looks extremely comfortable throwing on the run, yet has the mechanics to stand in the pocket and seemingly pick defenses apart. The righty is well-put together for this level and he certainly passed the eye test at tryouts, wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
