<p><strong>DEFENSE</strong></p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>1.[player_tooltip player_id='769923' first='Bryce' last='May'] 6-3 320 DT/G Cascade- May is somewhat of an unknown playing 4A ball in Oregon. That said as he has been absolutely dominant and can play at the highest level on either side of the ball. He should be ranked among the top interior guys in the West. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>2.[player_tooltip player_id='1589190' first='Garrett' last='Miller'] 6-4 225 LB Mead- The GSL Defensive POY has gone under the radar thus far. He is a big reason Mead went 9-2 last season and will be in the 4A title hunt this year. Expect multiple Big Sky's and others to go on him by summer. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>3.[player_tooltip player_id='1589203' first='Cooper' last='Daines'] 6-5 250 DE Mead- Spokane will feature one of the top defensive combos in the state with Daines and Miller. The 6-5 standout earned 1st team all-conference honors last year and could easily put on 30+ pounds with his frame. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>4.[player_tooltip player_id='769921' first='Silas' last='Reynolds'] 6-3 180 WLB/WR West Linn- Reynolds has the speed to be a D1 receiver which is what also makes him such an intriguing defensive prospect. I would expect him to be one of the only guys who goes both ways for the Lions. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>5.[player_tooltip player_id='1165398' first='Austin' last='Glivar'] 6-2 220 LB Sumner- As of right now I would consider Glivar one of the most underrated athletes in the NW. The 2x 1st team all-league LB is a big reason Sumner won last year's 4A title. I could see him being a multiyear starter and all conference guy in the Big Sky. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>6.[player_tooltip player_id='1582216' first='Cade' last='Boehl'] 6-4 185 CB Eastside Catholic- It's rare to see a 6-4 CB be this fluid. Boehl was a 2nd team all-conference selection and comes with legit speed. His size makes him a very appealing recruit considering the position he plays. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>7.[player_tooltip player_id='770047' first='John' last='Ching'] 6-5 220 DE Jesuit- Ching is all of 6-5 and had a breakout junior season earning 2nd team all-Metro honors. He's still raw but brings elite overall athleticism to the table and is someone who could be developed at the next level. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>8.[player_tooltip player_id='1589207' first='Jacobe' last='McClelland'] 5-11 160 CB Gonzaga Prep- One of only four juniors in Washington to earn 1st team all-state honors last season. McClelland has elite quickness and a unique presence in the secondary. He will be a D1 guy at some level. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>9.[player_tooltip player_id='1234612' first='Jalen' last='Bauman'] 5-10 175 CB Lake Oswego- Bauman can flat out fly, recently running a 10.7 100 meters. He was one of Oregon's breakout players of the year last season, earning 1st team all TRL accolades. The speed alone puts him in a special category. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>10.[player_tooltip player_id='402418' first='Marcus' last='Post'] 6-0 185 S Lakeridge- The 1st team all TRL returner has had one of the best-off seasons of any player in the NW. Post had multiple MVP type performances for Alpha on the 7v7 circuit which should help on the recruiting front. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>11.[player_tooltip player_id='777410' first='Roman' last='Mallard'] 6-0 185 Safety/WLB Jesuit- I think Mallard's best years are ahead of him. It's hard to say where he projects but his stock continues to rise. I would expect him to be one of the best defensive players in Oregon next season. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>12.[player_tooltip player_id='914282' first='James' last='Wade'] 6-1 165 CB Grant- It's not often a private school kid transfers back to the PIL but that's the case here. The Team Lillard standout makes the move back to Grant from powerhouse Central Catholic. He will be a POY favorite within the conference, playing for one of the top DB coaches anywhere in Aaron Kincy. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>13.[player_tooltip player_id='402422' first='Rowen' last='Lewis'] 6-1 220 LB Lake Oswego- Lewis had a good junior year but he has really put himself on the map this off season. As referenced previously he comes from a talented family with D1 genes, and he looks to be headed in that direction. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>14.[player_tooltip player_id='1169947' first='Hudson' last='Gasperson'] 6-1 180 CB Lake Oswego- I think Gasperson is really good and will project as a 1st team all-state DB this coming season. Man to man there are very few in the NW who are better. His 4 INTs, 15 PBU's, and 42 solo tackles was one of the best stat lines in the state as a junior. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>15.[player_tooltip player_id='1589232' first='Jake' last='Young'] 6-3 180 CB/S Central Valley- I've talked a lot about Young recently with his 6-3 frame and ability to lock up receivers. He was a 1st team all GSL guy last year and will be in the POY conversation this season. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>15.[player_tooltip player_id='1345172' first='Jarrett' last='Martin'] 6-0 185 CB Banks- It will be important for Martin to show what he can do against top competition this summer on the collegiate camp circuit. It can be hard to determine what his dominance at the 3A level really means. </p>
