When you happen to be in a district (9-6A) that includes Nature Coast area powers Trinity Mitchell and Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch, you have no choice but to elevate your play.
What Land O'Lakes Sunlake's football program did during a 4-6 season in 2024 was to continue to lay a foundation that would help this team grow under veteran head coach Jay Fulmer.
While this program has produced just one winning program in the past decade, there is a feeling that the nucleus of prospects that are coming back will continue to lead by example.
There are several football players, who not only get it done on the football field – with leadership, experience and talent – but also continue to get it done in the classroom, creating the balance that college coaches and younger players will follow.
With spring less than a month away, and the summer to follow, here is a look at some of the catalysts the Seahawks have for 2025:
