Continuing with my defensive back notes is [player_tooltip player_id='1514925' first='Tymir' last='Sanders']. Sanders has the correct idea, showcasing aggressive tendencies and allowing nothing cheap and easy in terms of releases and passes. That said, I want to see Sanders keep more balance when jamming his opponent as I thought I caught him lunging a bit at times... Keeping with the theme of press coverage, [player_tooltip player_id='1653434' first='Mason' last='Rohan'] was another prospect that seems to have adopted this philosophy. As Rohan pressed, we saw him stay in the hip pocket throughout the duration of the route and he still had enough burst to play the ball over the top to break up pass attempts - a bit conservatively - rather than playing for the pick underneath. Furthermore, I want to see Rohan drive on out-breaking routes a bit more aggressively. He can do this by reading from the quarterback's drop to the receivers feet-shoulders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1147832' first='Daylin' last='McClintock'], who is likely the younger brother of Davon, appears to rep the family name to the best of his ability as the torch is being passed to him. Aside from being able to run, fundamentally, McClintock matches the receiver's hand and correctly makes his man-coverage turns. He also mugged people at the line, absolutely thwarting pivot routes, stonewalling them at the line... [player_tooltip player_id='1412526' first='Samad' last='Land Jr.'] might be the one prospect in the secondary that I wish to seen in pads the most. In a shirt-and-t-shirt camp setting, Land seemed to play as if he was driving through the body of his target. Additionally, this physical approach carried over to how well he jams opponents into the sideline.

One of two defensive prospects I nominated for defensive back MVP was [player_tooltip player_id='1521990' first='Nehemiah' last='Lewis']. Lewis showed outstanding closing speed on routes and the ability to bust his tail to get back in phase with the receiver if he initially lost on the release or the stem. Additionally, throughout each rep we saw Lewis play through the ball in hopes to break things up.
