In this article, I highlight a few hidden gems prospects from small schools.   Check out these 2026 prospects standing out on tape!   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    <a href="https://x.com/d_reel11" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@d_reel11)</a>   Starting off with an under-the-radar prospect with tons of upside on offense and defense. Palmyra's [player_tooltip player_id='487752' first='Dylan' last='Reel'] is both a shifty wide receiver who can create separation and a rangy defensive back who always seems to be near the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, you see a twitchy route runner who plays with great start/stop and is sharp at the break off. Reel also showed that he has the top-end speed to break away from defenders once he can find the open field. Watching Dylan in person, I've seen him make some very tough catches through contact, showing how strong and reliable his hands are. He is a versatile player who can be moved across the formation and schemed up to give him the ball in creative ways (out of the backfield, in motion, etc). Reel showed this same versatility on the defensive side of the ball with experience at safety and CB, but projects best as a safety/nickel. He sees the field very well from the safety position, allowing his quick instincts to guide him to either drop into coverage or break downhill to defend the run. Good physicality as a tackler and when playing the ball in coverage.      <a href="https://x.com/levi_gall50755" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@levi_gall50755)</a>   Clarkson/Leigh's [player_tooltip player_id='1625493' first='Levi' last='Gall'] jumped on our radar this offseason after claiming a heavyweight state championship in February. After watching Levi's tape, it's clear he can flat-out get after it on both offense and defense. On offense, Levi really impressed with his run-blocking, where he proved to be a mauler, using his overwhelming strength to pound his opponents into the dirt and finish the block. He quickly gets out of his stance and can easily climb up to the second level to kick out defenders. On defense, Gall uses his wrestling background to outleverage his opponent and displays the strength in his base to drive blockers off their spots. I look forward to hopefully seeing more from Levi this summer.      <a href="https://x.com/Connermp1013" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Connermp1013)</a>   After revisiting his junior tape, South Loup's [player_tooltip player_id='795465' first='Conner' last='Paulsen'] should receive a solid bump up in the rankings. The incoming senior is a versatile athlete who I could see playing RB, WR, CB, LB, or S at the next level. Offensively, Conner projects very well as an RB, displaying a good mix of speed and toughness when he runs. One of my biggest takeaways from Conner's tape was his ability to stay upright even when fighting through contact. He's not a super big RB, but he does play with excellent contact balance and a strong base. He's also more than willing to bring the fight to the defense with stiff arms and dropping his pads to lay out opposing defenders in his way. Defensively, Paulsen displays a great nose for the football as he does a great job tracking and closing on the ball.      <a href="https://x.com/hgravatt4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@hgravatt4)</a>   With a solid group of returning players, the Johnson-Brock Eagles should again be a contender in Class D2 in 2025. One prospect who will be big for the Eagles is [player_tooltip player_id='1115112' first='Hayden' last='Gravatt'], who should make an impact at running back and linebacker. Watching tape, I was impressed with Hayden's versatility as a runner, showing he can run north-south and can hit his cut and take off. He sees the field well and does a great job finding even the smallest creases to explode through. Excellent burst. Defensively, Hayden is a very solid run stopper who can fill his gaps very well and is a secure tackler once he gets to the ball carrier. Gravatt plays linebacker, but with some of the coverage reps I saw on tape, I could also see him as a safety at the next level.      <a href="https://x.com/AnthonyKor2809" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@AnthonyKor2809)</a>   Wisner-Pilger's [player_tooltip player_id='1617423' first='Korbyn' last='Anthony'] has limited tape available, but could draw some attention once more coaches catch on. Starting at guard, Korbyn plays with a fiery mean streak and aggressiveness at the point of attack, leading to several blocks ending in the dirt. Korbyn does a good job of firing out his stance while keeping his hands ready to shoot with a powerful punch that can leave his opponents stunned. Anthony then shows the upper body strength, explosiveness, and effective use of leverage to flip his opponent and end up with a pancake block. Solid mobility on pulling blocks.
