Excited to start up showcase content from Sunday's Nebraska/Iowa Combine Series. We had roughly 70-80 kids in the house, ranging from 28s to 26s, from the panhandle of Nebraska to Eastern Iowa (and even a couple of players from Missouri).

Huge eye-opening performance for Waterloo East freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='1630530' first='Jadyn' last='Perkins'] who ended the day earning WR MVP honors. To start, Jadyn already has a solid frame at 6'0" and 160 pounds with room to continue filling out his frame in the next few seasons. Perkins is a smooth route runner who does a great job winning off the snap with a clean release, stems his routes very well, and is sharp at the break-off point. Jadyn also showed the toughness to fight off press coverage and is aggressive when the ball is in the air. Solid hops to go up and high point the ball. Strong hands make him a reliable target.

Opposing teams need to be on the lookout for Underwood's [player_tooltip player_id='1635834' first='Charlie' last='Myers'] next season. The Eagle's (incoming) junior RB was electric all day during the showcase with great reps during position drills and 1v1s. The part of Charlie's game that stood out the most to me was his top-tier hands as he made great catch after great catch during ROA and 1v1s. He proved that he can create separation from defenders and can work all levels of the field as a receiving back. Myers can make quick, sharp cuts in tight spaces and has great vision as he works upfield.

It seems like PCM has been a great place to find athletic defenders lately! The next one to start watching out for is freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1083273' first='Danson' last='Drake'], who looks like he could play LB or safety, depending on how he continues to fill out his frame. I believe Danson could play a hybrid role because of the well-rounded skill set he put on display on Sunday. He was one of the better cover LBs at the camp, displaying fluid hips and top-tier instincts to go and make a play on the ball. Drake plays his hands very well, using them to break up passes in the air or to scrape the ball out of his opponent's hands. He also showed that he can be a physical downhill defender who can disengage from blockers during RB v LB drills, where he consistently won his reps.

Great momentum for our showcase QB MVP, [player_tooltip player_id='1223501' first='Zayne' last='Scully'], who will once again lead the Northeast Rockets' offense next season. Watching back parts of Zayne's performance, I was really impressed with the timing of his throws and his ability to lead his receiver with the ball. He took some nice deep shots downfield, which he delivered with great touch and ball placement. Scully's footwork looked good as he went through drills, showing that he can move very well within the pocket and smoothly roll out when he needs to escape.

Here's another Rocket ready for takeoff this season! Lincoln Northeast WR [player_tooltip player_id='1219130' first='Liam' last='Gallagher'] is a player who stands out immediately, standing at 6'4”, 195 pounds with a huge catch radius to go with his frame. Gallagher projects very well as a taller X receiver who can be physical with defensive backs trying to press him at the line of scrimmage and has the explosive first step to fly past defenders. Liam's lengthy reach and leaping ability allow him to elevate over defenders to high point the ball, making him a near lock to win in jump ball situations. Gallagher looked solid going through drills, displaying a solid release, footwork, and route running.
