One of southwest WI's best athletes is Seymour's [player_tooltip player_id='1545262' first='Carson' last='Staffeldt']. The WR/DB checks the box for overall speed, but where he truly sets himself apart at either position is his collegiate level quick twitch athleticism. Whether it be during his release, in and out of breaks, closing on a receiver/catch point, Carson is able to change direction and maneuver so suddenly. That quick twitch agility makes him a nightmare to cover and very rangy as a DB. The junior translates the athleticism to production too. In 2024 he averaged an insane 28 yds/rec while piling up 800+ yards. The kid is a weapon on the perimeter. Check him out more for yourselves.

Kid's like William are exactly why I love diving into each region and narrowing the focus. Because you come out the other side having impressive talents newly on the radar. The 6'4" 250 lbs OG is a must know recruit for the D2/D3 levels. Tobin carries his weight so easily and has the room to add plenty more at the next level. His range for the position perfectly fits as he pulls across the formation and can easily get up field on that pull to get to an LB. William is such a smooth athlete, but doesn't sacrifice the power side of the position to do it. Tobin has the base and anchor to move men where he wants them. This kid is just starting the scratch the surface on what he can become.

Checking in at 6'4" 185 lbs is a very intriguing TE/OLB, Jude Kinney. The impressive two way athlete will need time to fill out that long frame, but the building blocks he brings to the table should grab a lot of attention. Jude is a smooth, easy athlete. Whether it be as a route runner or dropping into coverage, Jude is able to cover ground, change direction, and accelerate with ease that you don't usually see from kids his size. It is also very noteworthy how naturally Jude tracks the ball as a receiver, adjusts to it, and secures it with strong hands. Kinney is turning into a mismatch on either side of the ball, and also is an accomplished basketball player. Definitely a kid in this region to have on your recruiting boards.

This Seymour offense is going to be Must-Watch on Friday nights this coming season. We have already talked about a couple athletes to know from that group in this series. Now we turn our attention to RB1, 1,000+ yard rusher, and 10 TD scorer Xavier Salzman. The junior plays like a lead back on tape. He has a strong blend of athleticism and playmaker ability to create the big play out in space or create space with his sudden lateral jump cuts. You can also count on him to absolutely punish defenders with his downhill running. Salzman has a strong, low center of gravity to run through tackles or bounce off them while continuing to gain yards. Tap into this kid's highlight reel and keep an eye on him.

The 6'1" 190 lbs WR out of Seymour is one to keep an eye on as a potential breakout athlete. He has a solid frame at 6'1" 190 lbs. Despite the larger, more filled out frame Carter still proved to be a smooth athlete that was able to consistently get open with his route running. The junior wasn't afraid to go over the middle of the field in 2024 either as he used his frame to protect the ball while securing the catch. I'll be keeping an eye on this 2026.

Jauron returns in 2025 as the most productive receiver for Platteville, finishing 2024 with a 28/492/7 stat line. The junior crushed vs zone coverage as he quickly found the soft spots for easy completions. The compact athlete used his balance and low center of gravity to his advantage, running crisp routes that always seemed to open up plenty of separation for his QB. Jauron also proved to have the speed to simply outrun the CB deep down the sideline multiple times throughout the season. Blevins was a tough matchup with his quickness and explosiveness in 2024. He is going to be a problem this fall.

Dylan is definitely undersized for the LB position, but that didn't stop the junior from leading Platteville in tackles in 2024. He went for 92 tackles, 6 TFLs, 2 sacks, and an INT last season. His success at the ILB position comes from his ability to play through traffic. Dylan does really well knifing through gaps untouched, using his closing burst and instincts to stay ahead of what the OL is trying to do. The junior does well with reading and reacting, finding the ball, and attacking. Give him a look.
