The LSWA started releasing its all-state basketball teams this week, including several names that should already look familiar to football fans.

There were a couple first- or second-team all-state hoops standouts in Louisiana's Class 2A lists who also boast notable backgrounds on the football field.

Trey'Shaun Mack — 6-2 DB/ATH — Franklin (2025)

Franklin has been a steady presence on Prep Redzone and Prep Hoops multisport-crossover lists. And after a couple 2024 seniors wrapped their high school careers with all-state selections last year, Mack built off a strong finish to his junior season to carry the torch. The Hornets' 2025 standout averaged 12.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.1 blocked shots and 3.2 steals as a senior and earned title-game MVP honors for the second straight March to help lead the program's repeat in Division-IV Select. Mack further added a first-team all-state selection to that résumé and was among the top candidates for Outstanding Player consideration.

[player_tooltip player_id='642719' first='Elijah' last='Haven'] — 6-4, 205 QB — Dunham (2027)

The Tigers' star quarterback's national recruiting profile on the football field has started to overshadow his basketball buzz, but every winter and spring he reminds fans and media of his talent on the court as a leader for one of Louisiana's top Division-III Select programs. Haven earned District 8-2A MVP honors this season and a second straight all-state second-team selection with 13 points, eight rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest for semifinalist Dunham. One heck of a sophomore school year for the Class 2A Offensive MVP on the football field this fall, who has also picked up a slew of college offers including hometown LSU.
