I am still trying to process yesterday's instant classic between the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks. What a wild and crazy 24-run MLB affair. Wrigley is such a special stadium, especially when the wind blows out.

This morning, before settling in to watch a day full of baseball, hockey playoffs, and WrestleMania 41, I thought I would update our subscribers on the recruitment of six Prep Redzone Kansas-ranked athletes.

Two members of the Kansas Class of 2025 signed recently, and four members of the Kansas Class of 2026 took to social media to announce recent offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1555388' first='Savy' last='Ward'], WR/DB, 6'1”, 185, Shawnee Heights, '25 (Highland CC)

Ward is ranked No. 646 overall in the final Class of 2025 rankings. He announced on social media this week that he has signed to play for new head coach Thomas Minnick at Highland Community College. Ward can play on either side of the ball depending on the needs of the new coaching staff at Highland. The Shawnee Heights prospect can also be quickly plugged in to play key roles on the Scotties' special teams units.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115717' first='Hayden' last='Cummings'], LB, 5'8”, 190, Seaman, '25 (Kansas Wesleyan)

Seaman's Cumming announced this week that he will head to Salina next fall to compete with the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes. Cummings finished ranked No. 421 in the Kansas Class of 2025 rankings. Cummings was one of the best tacklers for the Vikings. He had a combined 178 tackles during his final two seasons at Seaman.

[player_tooltip player_id='426515' first='Brayden' last='Pappas'], RB, 5'7”, 180, Eisenhower, ‘26

Pappas is ranked No. 12 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and is the top-ranked running back. He recently announced receiving an offer from Ottawa University. Pappas rushed for 1,218 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He is expected to be one of the top-producing running backs in Kansas next fall. It would surprise me if he ended up at an NAIA school. He is coming off recent visits to Emporia State and Washburn. I have a feeling that just about every MIAA team will be interested in Pappas, and the Division II level is where I see him landing unless he goes the JUCO route.

[player_tooltip player_id='1515949' first='Jan' last='Ludvik'], K, 6'3”, 164, Jackson Heights, ‘26

Ludvik is the third-highest ranked kicker in the Kansas Class of 2026. The Jackson Heights specialist is ranked No. 220 overall. He is the second-ranked prospect to announce a new offer from the Ottawa Braves' coaching staff. The Cobras' kicker converted on 58-of-66 extra point attempts last season and was 5-for-6 in field goal attempts. His longest kick as a junior was a 32-yard field goal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228898' first='Nick' last='Anciaux'], OL/TE, 6'5”, 250, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘26

Kapaun's Anciaux recently announced two Division I offers, one from New Mexico and the other from Western Michigan. He is ranked No. 197 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 rankings. He is a big and strong offensive tackle. His older brother plays for Kansas State University, and he made a recent visit to Manhattan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657483' first='Gavin' last='Saner'], LB, 5'11, 190, Valley Center, ‘26

Saner is the third athlete to get a recent offer from Ottawa. He was recently featured on Prep Redzone and is set to be added to the rankings when they are next updated. Ganer made 66 tackles in nine games for the Hornets last fall.
