The rising seniors who showed up to West Florence for the Carolinas Coaches Combines didn't let a little rain get in their way.

Despite a brief downpour, the 2026s kickstarted a day that included a whole bunch of speed.

Thanks to Catapult's Cat 1 GPS pods that all players were wearing and have been shared with Prep RedZone, we now have an even better picture of just how fast the morning was.

We'll start with the six players who topped 22 miles per hour:

[player_tooltip player_id='1656668' first='Khalid' last='Sherman'] ATH, Loris - 22.45 mph

[player_tooltip player_id='1592487' first='Tristian' last='Spann'] WR, Hartsville - 22.35 mph

Caden Cole WR, Carolina Forest - 22.21 mph

[player_tooltip player_id='1267317' first='Daniel' last='Capehart'] LB, Dillon - 22.12 mph

[player_tooltip player_id='1165108' first='Zori' last='Pierce'] QB, Lamar - 22.12 mph

[player_tooltip player_id='205787' first='Hiszari' last='Gantt'] WR, Gray Collegiate - 22.03

Those peak speeds, for the record, were all recorded before any players who elected to re-run their 40s after the rain was gone for good. By that point, their Catapult devices had been removed.

Translation: This cluster of speed was no joke.

It was also only one highlight from a morning full of them. Let's take you around some of the other standouts we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1656657' first='Joseph' last='Braveboy'] OL, Ridge View

The Blazers' starting center showed off some nifty footwork in the drills portion of the combine. He then kept his momentum going during the one-on-ones, when he was handling business against some talented defensive linemen. As someone who reacts well to his own snap, Braveboy should be a significant part of Ridge View's expected high-powered offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1639761' first='Jamarious' last='Wilson'] DL/OL, Loris

We're still not sure which side of the line Wilson ends up at on the next level. But, like Braveboy, he showed that centers shouldn't have been overlooked Sunday. As expected, his 6-foot-3, 259-pound official measurements showed some big-time physical growth since his last verified numbers. He then put it to good use, standing out in the last session.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165163' first='Zamaurious' last='Robertson'] WR, Dillon

If there was still any debate over whether or not the injury that temporarily sidelined Robertson (pictured) in the fall was still lingering… yeah… you can go ahead and put that to bed. The 6-foot, 169-pound receiver (and part-time defensive back) hit 21.77 miles per hour, exhibited consistent hustle and recorded a 120-inch broad jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592650' first='Ethan' last='Cash'] OL, South Florence

At a fraction of an inch shy of 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, Cash should give South Florence fans plenty of hope for another solid year on that side of the ball. He's an imposing tackle who pushed 185 pounds 17 times on the bench press and then spent the last chunk of the combine pushing round would-be edge rushers.

Braden Hughes TE, Mullins

Speaking of guys who are physically imposing, go ahead and put Hughes into that category, too. He measured in at 6-foot-2.5 and 211 pounds. He had an 80-inch wing span. And a 24.9-inch vertical. He's mostly blocking in the Auctioneers' offense. But we'd sure like to see him put all that size to good use while he's got the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='816750' first='Kaleb' last='Berry'] TE/WR, Gray Collegiate

There's not much not to like about Berry's game, especially since he's risen up just shy of 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds. The combination tight end/receiver put up a peak speed of 21.76 miles per hour and his sprint distance (amount of time over roughly 12.5 miles per hour) was a super-high 13.4 percent of his overall distance - meaning he wasn't out there lolligagging.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165108' first='Zori' last='Pierce'] QB, Lamar

One year removed from ACL construction, Pierce didn't look like a kid who recently had his knee surgically repaired while hitting the miles-per-hour mark (listed above).

[player_tooltip player_id='1145762' first='Hayes' last='Cochrane'] LB, St. James

Cochrane got his feet wet at the position last year for the winless Sharks. On Sunday, the slightly trimmed down linebacker looked like he was even more ready for year two.
