April Film Evaluation: Uncovered Prospects

<p>With spring football underway and past our spring update, we evaluate five under-the-radar prospects who have yet to be added to our board and evaluated.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1648952' first='Leyton' last='Baldwin'] is a versatile athlete who plays both linebacker and wide receiver. As a linebacker, he is gap-disciplined and plays with high energy. He is a reliable tackler in space and has the ability to redirect plays back inside. As a receiver, Baldwin is a smooth route runner, frequently creating separation at the break of his routes or finding soft spots against zone defenses. He is a lengthy receiver with a very good catch radius. With this radius, he demonstrates good hand-eye coordination, body control, and strong hands, allowing him to adjust mid-route, high-point the football, or make catches in contested situations. Roy is poised to be a significant threat on third downs and in the red zone at the next level. He demonstrates solid initial quickness in his base and reach blocks. Utilizing solid hand placement and a strong punch, he creates leverage, generates shock, and successfully displaces defenders to create running lanes. Castling has the motor and ability to work to the second level. He's able to mirror in pass protection, especially off jump and 45 sets. He shows a solid burst off the snap, using a powerful bull rush complemented by good pad level, hand placement, lower body strength, and active feet. This combination allows him to pressure the pocket and make plays in the backfield. Against the run, Gamez is stout due to his traits above along with the ability to anchor and make plays at the line of scrimmage. He has experience as a wide receiver, defensive back, and as a returner on special teams. Jackson is a solid route runner who can create separation off his breaks due to his solid change of direction, balance, and burst.
