7v7 Team Standouts: Southwest7

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the 7V7 football season coming to a close, so many notable football players had a great 2025 year. 7v7 has been on the rise lately to find great prospects in the scouting world of football. I was thoroughly impressed this year with what they brought to the table. The games were super competitive and MoKan sports and <span>Prep </span>Redzone did a phenomenal job of putting on great events this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For this article we are going to focus on these six very talented football players from the Southwest7 7v7 football team. Young [player_tooltip player_id='1640383' first='Joshua' last='Jefferson'] really took advantage of this football off season by having a fantastic 7v7 season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jefferson is listed at WR but from his skill set I believe he can play on both sides of the ball. Jefferson can reach his top speed exceptionally fast which makes it extremely difficult for defensive backs to react and get out of their back pedal. He is one of the hardest working players I have ever seen, and coach John Perry should be ecstatic for what he is going to bring to their football team this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sandgren is such an impressive football player. He can play in the backfield, slot, or outside receiver positions and be exceptional at any of those positions. On defense, he could play any position in the secondary and be great at any spot. When he isn't locking down receivers for the Southwest7 in the fall he's doing the exact same thing for the Republic Tigers. When Lawhon throws on the pads he is a whole different animal, he is a thumper in the secondary. He was the Quarterbacks best friend whenever he was in some hot water it seemed like he was always looking for Rubeck. With sure hands to go along with a knack for running some of the sharpest routes in Southwest MO, I love Rubeck's game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense, Rubeck is also a very, very good boundary cornerback. Anders thrives at nickel corner which is arguably one of the most difficult positions in football. He was the stickiest nickel corner I saw at the tournament's hands down. He showcases a smooth back pedal and can flip his hips quick as a switch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I believe out of all the players on this team Vincenzo was the most improved and proved himself the most. Standing at 6'0 205 pounds he shows the ability to flow sideline to sideline. He knows how to pick his spots in zone coverage and can read the Quarterbacks very well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For his Republic Tigers football team, he usually plays OLB in a base 3-4 defense and thrives at rushing the passer.
