5 Indiana 2028 Skill Players Starting to Turn the Corner

The 2028 class continues to take shape, and these five skill players are starting to show signs that their development is trending in the right direction.    Walden saw time on both sides of the ball as a freshman and held his own in each role. At running back, he's got good vision and can feel out lanes before they fully develop. He's shifty in space and knows how to make the first guy miss without losing momentum. On defense, he's a reliable DB who doesn't shy away from contact and can come downhill to make a clean tackle. He's instinctive, moves well, and already looks comfortable in live reps.     Barnett profiles well as a slot receiver with his quickness and ability to get in and out of breaks clean. He's got enough speed to threaten vertically and can create separation underneath with sharp footwork. He does a good job working into space and making himself available. Solid with the ball in his hands and shows he can be reliable in short and intermediate routes. I like him and think he'll be an important piece of the offense sooner rather than later.     Everts is a big-bodied tight end who already stands at 6'3" and 200 pounds, and he knows how to use it. He's a strong, multi-sport athlete with the physical traits to be a true in-line tight end. He holds up well as a blocker and can anchor the edge, but he's also capable of slipping out and making himself a target in the passing game. With his size, strength, and athletic background, he's got a chance to grow into a real problem at the position.     Sark is a true deep threat who gets off the line quickly and forces defenses to account for him early. He's got the speed to stack corners and make plays downfield, even coming out of a run-heavy Wing T offense. Despite limited touches, he's the kind of player you have to scheme for because of how dangerous he is in space. He's also a willing blocker who doesn't take reps off, which adds value to his game and makes him tough to take off the field.     Zupan is a fast, high-motor player who's still raw but shows flashes on both sides of the ball. He's got the kind of speed that jumps out, whether he's in the open field or closing space on defense. There's still polish to add, but he seems like a quick learner and has the tools to grow into a versatile piece. He could develop into a real weapon wherever he settles in with more reps and I think he gets that opportunity in year 2.
