uses hands to make the catch, falling backwards; must jump to high point; running back with good vision to bounce; trusts his ability to get in-and-out , stutter; does not always use his hands to catch the ball; seems as though he is usedto create mismatches; will get low when he tries to make breaks; does not take much to tackle him; a deceptive piece; quickness and speed are probably about equal</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1357858' first='Brody' last='Nugent'] 6'0" 175 QB Old Bridge</td><td>Lefty quarterback, scrambles well to buy time and create space, not necessarily looking to run first, keeps looking downfield; used as a punt returner; can roll out to his right and get some loft on the ball despite going against his body; not many clips of him dropping back and playing ball - moves around a lot, not really a drop back thrower; profiles as a dynamic read option quarterback</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1551253' first='Brody' last='Phillips'] 6'0" 187 ATH Seneca</td><td>Returner that can hit a seam and go; taller running back who has a forward lean as he bursts through the line of scrimmage; linebacker who can squeeze wheels to the sideline, stay slow and uses his hands; will stick someone, breaksdown when tackling; good hands; has a burst in the screen game; fights pressure; want to see him tackle a bit lower and keep feeet going in the process; used as a receiver, trusts his speed to beat two converging defenders; used as a back out of the backfied; reals quick game on defense very well; keeps ball high, but want to see him pin to his chest; not as many clips of him running the ball as I would like - probably a few tooo many screens</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1540910' first='Bryce' last='Flower'] 6'1" 185 DB Wayne Valley</td><td>WR/DB - runs well, has a twitch and sudden movement when on the having to retreat; big, lean, impressive frame; sets an edge when filling the alley; can close ground; has a second speed that you see when he gets down hill after covering; tackles and rolls to leverage or drives his feet, good tackler; comes to balance before attacking ball carrier; want to see a few more clips of him in coverage; plays the quick game extremely well</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1642047' first='Bryce' last='Williams'] 6'0" 175 DB Pennington</td><td>Safety that gets down hill quickly, run fit could stand to be a bit better, will improve his tackling leverage; played corner at times, will get hands on to press; really flies down hill well; walked down to LOS, uses hands to create separation from linemen; form fit tackles when he has the opportunity; uses hands to catch the ball; above average blocker on offense; want to see more COD and hips on his film to warrant higher ranking</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1466288' first='Caden' last='Luby'] 5'11" 160 RB Collingswood</td><td>Wing-T fullback; slows down behind the line when facing danger; has an ability to break through the line with big gains; can use stiff arm to create a little bit of space; linebacker who reads, albeit hesistantly, and wrap/grab/drive his legs when tackling</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1562025' first='Carter' last='Cooney'] 6'1" 210 LB Ramapo</td><td>Linebacker who gets down hill in a hurry when thigns break down, reads effectively; comes to balance when he is squaring up to make tackles; tackling can be ab it lower, but wraps well and drives well; does not take a dianose step, but sees things clearly and gets to his gap responsibility; want to see more hand usage to shed blocks... when he does get blocked; reads keys effectively and avoids a lot of contact because he reacts so quickly; want to see him roll leverage tackle; have not seen any clips of him in pass coverage</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1523175' first='Carter' last='Horvath'] 6'1" 210 DL Hopewell Valley</td><td>Recognizes screen, picked one off; takes outside rush and hits swim; played some linebacker; does not hit with much power or force; tackles low enough; plays a bit high through the various phases of a play; plays with a motor and keeps on coming</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1546513' first='Casey' last='Grusser'] 6'1" 185 QB Ramapo</td><td>Ball can get about 45 yards vertical, placemant can improve some; patient in the pocket, comfortable in it and does not look to move around unnecessarily; very quick release; on throws; can make a defender miss in the open field; good mechanics, will pant back foot and follow through; will look through progression at moments; puts loft/english on the ball when necessary; should look to get ball out quicker when asked to sprint out; very good accuracy on in-breaking routes</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1532328' first='Channon' last='Johnson'] 6'1" 310 DL St. Thomas Aquinas</td><td>Big, thick plugger in the middle; fights aroudn blocks, farther than working through the center; will swim a low hat quickly to get in there; fights doubles by slinging one man free; gets hands on but fights around blocks rather than cross facing or driving back into the play's direction; ok on reach plays; have not seen him jack anyone backwards and dokminate the line</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1547069' first='Charles' last='Mapp'] 6'0" 175 DL/LB Delsea</td><td>Plays too far off the ball; defenses seem to respect his speed and he takes the inside path to the quarterback; has not shown much beyond his speed to take the inside or get around the edge; can get moved on reach blocks; pursues well; plays too far in the backfield when trapped</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1552346' first='Chase' last='Calarco'] 5'11" 195 DB Northern Highlands</td><td>Running back, uses stiff arm well; hard time turning the corner, sort of wheels himself when he makes turns; an upright runner; gets feet up when rushing to break tackles; safety, reads what is in front of him and mkaes breaks vs. trips; looks to lower boom rather than wrap and squeeze, want to see his wrapping when tackling improve; will run right into you to make a block; flies up to support the run; uses hands to engage with blockers, sheds them; not much in true coverage on film</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1523181' first='Chase' last='Carthan'] 6'0" 185 LB Burlington Township</td><td>Mike backer, does not get much depth in his pass drop; seems like a good tackler, adjust his pursuit angle; good hit/wrap/drive, especially on the drive; ability to bend and turn the corner better would aid his game; want to see him use hands to dengage with linemen</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1097478' first='Chase' last='Hoag'] 5'8" 170 LB Mainland</td><td>Wing-T running back; attacks ball when closing in on the quarterback, wanting to force it out; extreme hustle, sent on a blitz from near hash, ball thrown the other way, from chasing position totally hustled made play on opposite 5 way down field; has open field speed; good tackler, attacks thigh boards hit/wrap/drive; willing, physical lead blocker for his teammates; very good, quality, hard-nosed player who wants to win and make every play</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1547343' first='Chase' last='Moore'] 6'5" 189 DB Middle Township</td><td>Single high safety; goes low when tackling; high points the ball wiht his hands; plays up to 20 yards off the ball; receiver, has a solid get off and apt at catching fades; has an advantage because of how tall he is; leverage tackles well; stays in his backpedal more than you would expect; more phyiscal than you initialy suspect; unsure of his group level/competition that he is playing; solid defender, coaching and training at collegiate level will make him better, but I think I like him at receiver; very raw, want to see him open up and ball</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1537231' first='Chidiogo' last='Iherobiem'] DB Dayton</td><td>Comes off the edge as a safety, too hard for RBs to block him; reads keys and gets a great jump, will play ball while it is in the air; high points the ball; has some separation speed; receiver who can make high pointed catches spinnin g through the air; wraps well, a bit high of a tackler, but keeps his momentum going through his opponent; shows physicality due tio explosiveness - likely due to his confidence when playing the game; shown to leverage roll tackle too; very small school but I like his game a lot; have not seen him in coverage, need to see this to warrant better ranking</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1476914' first='Christian' last='Meletta'] 6'1" 195 LB Passaic Valley</td><td>Bigger body to clog passing lanes; can turn the weak shoulder of an opponent when blitzing; solid tackler, wraps well - want to see a little more leg drive at times; plays a bit high, but strong enough to win most of his matchups; quality player; times snap very well to knife into back field and blow things up; has shown hand utilization a little bit, not all that much; shown diangose step, but sees things a bit slowly, preventing him from getting down hill</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1476882' first='Christian' last='Shio'] 5'11" 200 RB Holy Cross Prep</td><td>Carries ball low, does not pin it, even keeps it away from his body at moments; runs with a slight bend, not much; linebacker, must keep feet when tackling; unsure of the level of competition he is facing; has not shown wiggle; tends to run into people on defense</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1105272' first='Christian' last='White'] 5'10" WR Kingsway Reginal</td><td>Receiverruns routes hard, can adjust to balls thrown to the inside; able to gain a step on defenders; high points and uses hands, want to see him return to comeback-type routes; breaks off his route's stem if he sees space; hand fights at the line to gain a release and create space; hands seem soft, able to win tip drill; will sell a hard-full body fake; only seen him use his hands to catch the ball; a little, slight second-speed burst</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1282759' first='Cole' last='O'Connor'] 5'10" 180 RB North Hunterdon</td><td>A hard player to bring down with poor tackling; has forward lean and gets low when amking his cuts; hits the hole low; braces ball as contact arrives; spins and wrangles for every bit of yardage; cannot tackle him up high; rough and rugged runner</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2026 Rankings Update Coverage</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-film-evals-for-new-additions-part-i"></a><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-film-evals-for-new-additions-part-i"></a><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-film-evals-for-new-additions-part-i">Ranking Evaluation Scouting Notes, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-film-evals-for-new-additions-part-ii">Ranking Evaluation Scouting Notes, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-film-evals-for-new-additions-part-iii">Ranking Evaluation Scouting Notes, Part III</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-the-linebacker-film-room-part-i">Linebacker Film Room, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/04/26-rankings-update-the-quarterback-film-room-part-i">Quarterback Film Room, Part I</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
