The new rankings are out. This class has a lot of good defensive backs in the 2027 class. We have been covering them for a while. Let's check it out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237604' first='Dolph' last='McDonald']

McDonald is a player who we like a lot. He has been shining for a while on the varsity level. We have also seen him line up at the quarterback position. We are thinking that he is going to be a defensive back on the next level. McDonald plays for Morton. He holds a few major division one offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='453100' first='Chris' last='Willis']

Willis is a player from Hamilton who has shown us that he can get things done at multiple positions. Willis is one of those players who is going to continue to see his stock rise. This young man can move with ease, and he has really good ball skills. He has those good hips that are going to be able to help him out at cornerback and safety. He also has the speed to break off very long runs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1454426' first='Braylon' last='Key']

Key is one of the players from South Panola in the 2027 class who has caught our attention early. He holds an offer from Southern Miss. This kid is going to be one of those guys who we saw ourselves talking about a lot more. We have seen him in action in person and he gets it done. Key knows how to cover, and he does not mind coming up to make tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='1122878' first='Dallas' last='Williams']

We have seen Williams in person on several different occasions. He has impressed us every time that we have seen him. He gets things done in man coverage. Williams is known for being able to get back in his back pedal while still having the ability to mirror his receiver. He is from Center Hill. Be sure to know his name.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237199' first='Trae' last='Collins']

Collins is a defensive back from Hazlehurst who has been on our radar since his freshman season. We are thinking that he is going to be a safety on the next level. He stepped up big for his team two seasons ago. That is when he started turning heads and catching the attention of scouts. Collins is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound young man who we think is going to continue to grow.
