The 65 players added to the Prep RedZone Class of 2027 rankings all earned their spots in a variety of methods.

The PRZ staff took the first half of the offseason to further evaluate those players' impacts from the 2024 season, but also what they've done since. What we found was a large wave of players ready to make their mark on the state's football landscape.

Let's continue the introductions to all of them with a look at the 10 from the Catawba River Region and CSRA.

Catawba River Region

[player_tooltip player_id='1664638' first='Isaiah' last='Revell'] ATH, Catawba Ridge

As a sophomore, Revell put up 34 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and an interception while sort of floating around as needed. He's going to start seeing more offensive snaps, and the formula for moving him from position to position might look awfully similar.

[player_tooltip player_id='1476906' first='Kadin' last='Vassel'] ATH, South Pointe

Vassel has elite speed, as he was recently clocked at 22.05 miles per hour. It's why he needed only 12 receptions as a sophomore to hit five touchdowns. When he's not playing receiver, he's helping out in the defensive backfield. Expect more of both for his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='896094' first='Lavoris' last='Lucas'] ATH, Indian Land

Even at just 5-foot-7 and 155 pounds, Lucas started to put his footprint on the program last fall. He finished with 137 rushing yards (two touchdowns), 428 receiving yards (two touchdowns) and four kickoff returns for 191 yards (one touchdown).

[player_tooltip player_id='513067' first='Malik' last='Ratliff'] WR, South Pointe

On a team full of weapons, go ahead and add Ratliff's name to the list. He exhibits quick cuts and provides another reliable target. What's more, he averaged just shy of 21 yards per reception as a sophomore and finished with three touchdowns with just 13 receptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1623487' first='Brandon' last='Streater'] OL, Central (pictured)

The Eagles were probably a year ahead of schedule last fall, a similar sentiment to what Streater was able to prove he could do. The 6-foot-4 left tackle gives the backfield a lot of breathing room from opposing pass rushes and is able to leverage his wing span in the running game, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664364' first='Dwayne' last='Louallen'] QB, Central

Louallen was already a quarterback who could use his size to pump out some significant rushing totals. When he started gaining confidence with his arm, he jumped to another level. Louallen can spin it, and he has the teammates to drive this offense to new heights.

CSRA

[player_tooltip player_id='1654810' first='Drelyn' last='Brown'] RB, Silver Bluff

While Silver Bluff collectively took a step back, the signs for a quick rejuvenation were there, too, starting with Brown. He totalled more than 1,100 yards of offense and scored 10 touchdowns as a sophomore en route to SCFCA All-State honors.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613928' first='Jayden' last='Merriweather'] DL, Strom Thurmond

The 5-foot-11, 240-pound interior lineman could eventually see even more time at end, but for now, we already know he can help clog up the middle. He finished his sophomore season with 33 total stops and three sacks, meaning he can get into the backfield, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664511' first='Trenton' last='Summers'] RB, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler

If Summers makes uses of his explosiveness, there's no reason to believe he couldn't finish next fall among the top 10 ball carriers in the class. The trick will be letting he and teammate Darion Stroman both get into a consistent place of sharing the workload.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217173' first='Rakeem' last='Walker'] WR/DB, Bamberg-Ehrhardt

Walker has already learned how to take over games. Last fall, he caught 25 passes for 376 yards and a pair of touchdowns while improving on his route-running. He's strong enough to break tackles and extend plays, something the Red Raiders will need even more of in 2025.

The 65 players added to the Prep RedZone Class of 2027 rankings all earned their spots in a variety of methods.
