2026 Linebacker Follow Up

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mississippi has some gems who are generals in the state of Mississippi. We think that some of these guys are going to be division one football players. They are going to be some studs to know this upcoming football season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1646010' first='Jeremy' last='Bibbs'] </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bibbs is one of the best linebackers in the state of Mississippi. He is a player we started covering this past season. We were impressed with his film. Bibbs knows how to get after the football. He is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound player from Brookhaven who is going to have a good chance to start getting major division one attention. Bibbs is a solid tackler who gets runners to the ground. He is also able to open up his hips in coverage. Be sure to know him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1635489' first='Durrell' last='Washington'] Jr</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Washington is another linebacker from Brookhaven who caught our eye. Him and Bibbs are around the same size. Washington is a player who can make tackles in open space. He also knows how to get out there and cover. Coaches may look at him for inside and outside LB. You can see him getting good coverage on passing plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1136446' first='Xavier' last='Thomas']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas is another linebacker who we like a lot. Thomas is from Northside. We were able to get our eyes on him for the first time last season. We do feel like he has division one potential. Thomas is able to step up and make hits while also having the ability to keep his head on a swivel when opponents are passing the football. Be sure to know him this season. This will be a good summer for him to make a big name for himself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1217036' first='Caleb' last='Hearn']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hearn is another linebacker from Northside who has impressed us this season. Hearn is an athletic player. We have seen him at camps working out at the wide receiver position. However, I feel his most valuable position is going to be linebacker. Hearn has those long arms attached to that 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame. He is a basketball player who can move and rise high to dunk. He needs to learn to use those same skills to be a very valuable outside linebacker. You can see that his body is able to hold another thirty pounds immediately and still hold good mobility. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
