It's still early but here we take a quick look at the NW's top 25 teams heading into next season. Over the years Washington's top teams have beaten Oregon's but not recently. Check it..

.Roosevelt WA- Sam Adams has done a phenomenal job at Roosevelt, beating Eastside Catholic last season while only losing to the likes of O'Dea, Bellevue, and Camas. They will be even better in 2025.

.Mead WA- Look for Mead to be in the mix come playoff time. As mentioned, Spokane (GSL) returns as much talent as anybody in Washington, featuring the likes of returning conference POY [player_tooltip player_id='1589190' first='Garrett' last='Miller'] at LB. The 52-49 loss to 2x state champ Lake Stevens in the playoffs last year speaks to their potential.

.Lakeridge OR- The Pacers have dudes everywhere including a legit line, along with Oregon St commit [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'] and UW commit [player_tooltip player_id='284119' first='Ansu' last='Sanoe']. Will this be the year they get over the hump?

.Chiawana WA- The Riverhawks lost a triple overtime heartbreaker 37-31 in the semifinals to 4A state champ Sumner last season, after pummeling Lake Stevens and Puyallup in the playoffs. They do graduate a lot of talent but always re-load.

.Lincoln WA- A loaded Abes group could make a deep run in the playoffs behind high profile D1 QB prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1188085' first='Sione' last='Kaho'] and a host of other top talent.

.Puyallup WA- Easily one of the fastest rising programs in the NW. Underclassmen [player_tooltip player_id='1188082' first='Gecova' last='Doyal'], [player_tooltip player_id='1188105' first='J'Isaiah' last='Mitchell'], and [player_tooltip player_id='984781' first='Markel' last='Newell'] project as some of the top players in the country for their class.

.Tualatin OR- BYU commit [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] and some others are gone, but the T-Wolves are one of the top programs in Oregon with an impressive youth movement. Look for them to compete for a state title in the next few years.

.Yelm WA-Definitely one of the most well-run programs in the NW. The football community itself is elite, and they will continue to be good. Expect [player_tooltip player_id='928074' first='Maurice' last='Williams'] to have a POY type season and [player_tooltip player_id='928085' first='Jacob' last='Ford'] to go for well over 1000+ total yards.

.Lake Stevens WA- It's not going to be one of the state championship teams we have seen in years past, but they still have dudes up front and on the perimeter. They will compete in the playoffs.

.Camas WA- The Papermakers lost a tough one to Sumner in the 4A title game and graduate a ridiculous amount of talent including POY [player_tooltip player_id='1136399' first='Jake' last='Davidson'] and multiple D1 guys on D.

.Willamette OR- This might be the most interesting team in the NW. Two years removed from going 0-9 at the 5A level, everyone and their mother has transferred to the Eugene school, including nationally ranked D lineman [player_tooltip player_id='739439' first='Tony' last='Cumberland'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1636610' first='Viliami' last='Moala'] who are both committed to the Ducks.

.Jesuit OR- Look for the Crusaders to bounce back after not winning the Metro League title for the first time in years. They have 6-6/6-7 big men leading on both sides of the line, along with [player_tooltip player_id='777410' first='Roman' last='Mallard'] and all everything athlete [player_tooltip player_id='770006' first='Joe' last='Stimpson'].

.Mountainside OR- The Mavericks could very well win back-to-back conference titles, but it will be much closer than last year when Mountainside dropped the hammer on Jesuit 58-35.

.Mount Tahoma WA- 3* [player_tooltip player_id='1165368' first='Elijah' last='Durr'] is the real deal and LB [player_tooltip player_id='1165346' first='Shan' last='Jones'] will help lead a super talented group on defense. They are close to breaking out as a program.

.Central Valley WA- As mentioned Spokane is loaded with returning talent next season. It will be tough to make up for 1st team all state POY [player_tooltip player_id='1136408' first='Beau' last='Butner'] who graduates, but [player_tooltip player_id='1589232' first='Jake' last='Young'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1589204' first='Skyler' last='Harty'] are two of the best in Washington.
